Newly obtained documents<\/a> show that over a dozen elective abortions are being committed daily on babies 20 weeks and older at Southwestern Women’s Options, an abortion chain with locations in New Mexico and Texas. The family of 23-year-old patient Keisha Atkins<\/a>, who died from a botched abortion,\u00a0is suing the abortion chain and its abortionists for her death.<\/p>\n

The Facebook page Abortion on Trial<\/a> has been exposing the testimony of late-term abortionist Curtis Boyd and his team, including abortionists Carmen Landau and Shannon Carr. Boyd\u00a0faces an investigation into Atkins’ death from infection after she obtained an abortion at six months pregnant.<\/p>\n

These newly released documents, which include patient logs from 2017, list Landau and Carr as the abortionists on the dates shown. The gestational age of each aborted child is also shown, yet only a few<\/em> each day list a fetal indication (abnormality)\u2014notated as “FI”\u2014meaning the abortion was committed because of a fetal anomaly. The abortion lobby has long claimed that late-term abortion done almost entirely for health reasons. These documents show the opposite to be true<\/a>. Abortion\u2014the deliberate destruction of a human being in the womb\u2014is never medically necessary<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Many of these abortions cost more than $15,000 and are paid for with Medicaid funding,” Abortion on Trial wrote on Facebook.<\/p>\n

In a video, the group shows the age of the babies highlighted in pink and “fetal indications” highlighted in yellow. On January 31, 2017, 16 women had abortions after 20 weeks<\/em> at SWO and only four<\/strong> were listed as having a fetal health concern. Paperwork from February 1, 2017, shows that 19 women<\/em> underwent abortions at SWO after 20 weeks, with only five<\/strong> claiming medical necessity. The log for February 2, 2017, indicates another 19 women<\/em> had abortions after 20 weeks with just two<\/strong> of those abortions due to fetal indications.<\/p>\n
