Operation Rescue<\/a>\u00a0reports that in less than six weeks’ time, a second woman has been injured at an Illinois abortion business that was allowed to remain open during COVID-19 while elective surgeries in hospitals were halted. In this incident, emergency responders struggled to provide the woman with care due to a broken elevator.<\/p>\n

On May 7<\/a>, 2020, an ambulance was requested by Hope Clinic for Women in Granite City for a 34-year-old patient who was having a seizure during a surgical abortion. She required transfer to Barnes Jewish Hospital\u2014in Missouri, just across the Illinois border\u2014for a “higher level of care,” according to the 911 records obtained by the pro-life organization. The woman was in Procedure Room 3, which is on the second floor of the abortion business. At the time, an elevator repair vehicle was in the parking lot but no further details were known.<\/p>\n
