Operation Rescue<\/a> is reporting that a woman was injured at a Planned Parenthood in Jacksonville, Florida, operating amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Ambulances responded to the facility on April 9 during what was a busy day for the facility during that time, though the state’s stay-at-home order was in effect.<\/p>\n

While most elective surgeries were canceled or postponed during the height of the pandemic in Florida, this Planned Parenthood was busier than ever. Pro-life activists in the area counted 64 women entering the facility that week, a much higher number than usual. While the facility was in full operation and seeing many clients, activists observed that the clients were entering the facility without using any personal protective equipment or practicing social distancing guidelines.<\/p>\n

According to witnesses, the woman entered the facility around 10:00 a.m. but was wheeled out on a gurney after an ambulance was called two hours and forty minutes later. In an effort to ascertain the true nature of the woman’s condition and status, Operation Rescue legally requested the 911 records. Despite the customary request, the pro-life organization was met with a hostile response from the public information officer who refused to release the records. Unfortunately, there is no way to know how serious the woman’s injury was.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe honestly do not know if this woman even survived that abortion. One can only imagine how the extra rush of business put pressure on abortion clinic staff to hurry through the day and perhaps cut corners. Mistakes are inevitable under those rushed conditions,\u201d said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.<\/p>\n

A woman injured at an abortion facility is a tragedy at any time, but it’s unconscionable during the height of the COVID-19 crisis. When healthcare workers were struggling with a scarcity of medical equipment as they accommodated COVID-19 patients, it was reckless for Planned Parenthood to continue operations at an increased rate. While people across the globe were advised to stay home for safety, this and other abortion facilities were willing to risk lives. Many<\/a> other women<\/a> in various states<\/a> have been rushed<\/a> to hospitals<\/a> from abortion<\/a> businesses during COVID-19.<\/p>\n

As this most recently reported unfortunate incident shows, Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry are willing to put women in danger so that their businesses can continue to profit.<\/p>\n
