{"id":223851,"date":"2020-05-18T09:06:17","date_gmt":"2020-05-18T14:06:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/?p=223851"},"modified":"2020-05-18T11:40:32","modified_gmt":"2020-05-18T16:40:32","slug":"brett-young-preborn-daughter-song","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/brett-young-preborn-daughter-song\/","title":{"rendered":"Country artist Brett Young&#8217;s new song includes preborn daughter&#8217;s heartbeat"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>(<a href=\"http:\/\/lifesitenews.com\/\">LifeSiteNews<\/a>) \u2013 American country singer Brett Young\u2019s powerful new song\u00a0\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=O4lYfKWN13U\">Lady<\/a>\u201d\u00a0includes\u00a0a recording of\u00a0his unborn daughter\u2019s\u00a0heartbeat in the song\u2019s background.<\/p>\n<p>While Young sings, \u201cI remember when I first heard your heartbeat,\u201d his daughter\u2019s fetal heartbeat, recorded during a visit with the doctor, can be heard beating in the background.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, she was a little musician before she knew it,\u201d Young said in an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/parents\/brett-young-releases-single-lady-features-daughter-presley\/\">interview<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0<em>People<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Young shows his love and affection to his unborn child throughout his song, telling her she will \u201calways be my baby.\u201d He tells her to watch her mother to learn \u201cjust how to be a lady.\u201d Young said in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UjxVKhM1Lio\">video<\/a>\u00a0on May 4th that the message to his daughter was \u201cIf you wanna really know how to be a lady, watch your mom.\u201d The song was released April 30.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/O4lYfKWN13U\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>On May 1st, Young\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BrettYoungMusic\/status\/1256073862447616005\">tweeted<\/a>\u00a0that he was \u201cso excited to finally introduce \u2018Lady\u2019 to the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is easily one of the most special songs I\u2019ve ever written,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>He said in a May 4th video that he had already decided to write songs to his children after they were born, and he \u201cgot to know them a little bit.\u201d However, even before his daughter was born, his love for her was growing and he \u201cstarted trying to put together ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the song, Young remembers hearing his daughter\u2019s heartbeat for the first time during an ultrasound, when the baby was about eight weeks. He sang in his song that this was the \u201cfirst time you (his daughter) ever scared me.\u201d He finished writing the song while his daughter was still in her mother\u2019s womb.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of months before the baby was born, Young discussed the song with songwriters Jon Nite and Ross Copperman. He decided to make the song a tribute to both this wife and child. The baby was born last October.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/country-song-down-syndrome\/\"><em>WATCH: Country singer debuts song about daughter with Down syndrome<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a May 4th video, Young said that \u201cthe song isn&#8217;t about my daughter, but rather, it&#8217;s a message to my daughter about my wife her mom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Young decided to call the song \u201cLady\u201d after his wife, whom he called \u201cLady\u201d for a long time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m excited to write that song &#8230; I hope it&#8217;s as meaningful to people listening that have children or a family or are planning to,\u201d Young said.<\/p>\n<p>He concluded, \u201cit is really, really special to my wife and I.
