McCorvey, a.k.a. &#8220;Jane Roe,&#8221; was the plaintiff in the landmark 1973 <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> Supreme Court case legalizing abortion throughout America.<\/p>\n<p>British director Nick Sweeney is known for other works such as &#8220;Secrets of the Living Dolls,&#8221; &#8220;My Transgender Kid,&#8221; and &#8220;Transgender Kids Summer Camp.&#8221;\u00a0Sweeney conducted a series of interviews with McCorvey shortly before her death in 2017, which she dubbed her &#8220;deathbed confession.&#8221; Her unlikely story includes significant childhood trauma and hardship which continued throughout much of her adult life, as well as a dramatic transformation from pro-choice to pro-life and a religious conversion that puzzled many.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hPZGQkWi60c\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At age 22, pregnant with her third child and essentially homeless, McCorvey met two ambitious young female lawyers seeking to challenge Texas&#8217; ban on abortions. She would <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/norma-mccorvey-roe-of-roe-v-wade-dies-at-69\/\">later say<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>To make a long story short, I met with Sarah Weddington and Linda Coffee, and they\u2014how do I say this, they upset me. They said, \u201cOh Norma, don\u2019t you realize that women drive cars? Oh Norma, don\u2019t you realize that women get to smoke in public? Oh Norma, don\u2019t you know that women get to vote?\u201d I finally told them, \u201cHey look, I just came for the pizza and beer, because I was hungry.\u201d I met with them three or four times. I signed the affidavit that brought\u00a0Roe v. Wade\u00a0into being on March 17, 1970\u2026.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>She later said that she wasn&#8217;t seeking an abortion and that her claim of being gang-raped had been fabricated upon the advice of her attorneys in order to strengthen their case. Wade revealed in powerful new Live Action video<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Several decades later, while working in an abortion facility, she met Flip Benham, founder of Operation Rescue, and subsequently became pro-life and a Christian. Her baptism by Benham, a pastor himself, was filmed on national television, and Benham was interviewed for the <a href=\"https:\/\/collider.com\/roe-v-wade-documentary-fx-hulu\/\">documentary<\/a>. My view has changed. I believe that God has brought me to this point to bring change once again.&#8221; She would go on to become a public pro-life figure, even trying to petition the Supreme Court to overturn <em>Roe v.
