The abortionist who signed the paperwork is Dr. Deborah Nucatola, the former Senior Director of Medical Services for Planned Parenthood Federation of America who was seen in the first Center for Medical Progress <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/jjxwVuozMnU\">video<\/a> detailing how she alters abortion procedures to harvest intact fetal organs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jjxwVuozMnU\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Complaints were filed with the Indiana Attorney General&#8217;s Office and the Indiana State Department of Health regarding the unlicensed abortions at Lafayette Planned Parenthood with concern for the safety of women undergoing such abortions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If Planned Parenthood brought in a prominent abortion doctor to begin surgical abortion procedures in Lafayette, women&#8217;s health and safety is at serious risk,&#8221; said Kevin Niebrugge, who filed the complaints and serves on the Board of Tippecanoe County Right to Life. &#8220;The Lafayette Planned Parenthood facility is not licensed to do surgical abortions, because their facility is not set up to meet the physical building and safety standards required for surgical abortions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-doctors-public-relations\/\">Why Planned Parenthood couldn\u2019t send its own doctors on a public relations tour<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jgw4X7Dw_3k\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/first-trimester-abortion-works-dc\/\">AbortionProcedures.com<\/a>, a first-trimester suction aspiration D&amp;C abortion &#8220;is a procedure in which a suction catheter is inserted into the mother&#8217;s uterus to extract the preborn baby. Tools are then used to scrape the lining of the uterus to remove any remaining parts.&#8221; The <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/first-trimester-abortion-works-dc\/\">risks<\/a> to women for such an abortion include damage to the uterus or cervix, damage to organs including intestines and bladder, hemorrhage, infection, and death. D&amp;C abortions are also associated with complications in future pregnancies. Carrying out this procedure in a facility that is not equipped for it will leave women even more vulnerable to these risks.<\/p>\n<p>Nucatola&#8217;s past behavior is evidence that she is not concerned about the health of her patients. In the Center for Medical Progress video, Nucatola can be seen casually eating salad and drinking wine while describing the way she illegally alters abortion procedures, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/breaking-planned-parenthood-director-caught-on-tape-selling-aborted-baby-parts\/\"><em>not<\/em> with the woman&#8217;s health in mind<\/a>, but with the <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/unsealed-documents-california-planned-parenthood-25k-aborted\/\">financial benefits<\/a> to Planned Parenthood in mind. She <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/four-reasons-planned-parenthood-not-brave\/\">stated<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>I\u2019d say a lot of people want liver\u2026 And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound evidence so they\u2019ll know where they\u2019re putting their forceps.
