Meghan McCain has announced she and her husband Ben Domenech, co-founder of The Federalist, are expecting a baby after suffering a heartbreaking\u00a0miscarriage<\/a> in 2019.<\/p>\n

“My husband Ben and I have been blessed to find out I’m pregnant,” she wrote on Instagram<\/a>\u00a0on Sunday. “Although this isn’t how I expected to announce my pregnancy, both we and our families are excited to share the news with you all.”<\/p>\n

Co-host of “The View,” McCain said her doctors have advised her to self-isolate as a precaution in the wake of the COVID-19 global pandemic. She will continue to appear on\u00a0“The View” from her home via satellite. Pregnant women may be at a higher risk of complications from the coronavirus. According to the Centers for Disease Control<\/a>, “Pregnant women experience immunologic and physiologic changes which might make them more susceptible to viral respiratory infections, including COVID-19.”<\/p>\n
