{"id":218865,"date":"2020-02-20T14:41:35","date_gmt":"2020-02-20T20:41:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/?p=218865"},"modified":"2020-02-20T14:41:35","modified_gmt":"2020-02-20T20:41:35","slug":"lawmakers-planned-parenthood-valentines-threat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/lawmakers-planned-parenthood-valentines-threat\/","title":{"rendered":"Lawmakers say Planned Parenthood&#8217;s Valentine&#8217;s Day bags appear to contain a &#8216;threat&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>California lawmakers received a surprising Valentine&#8217;s Day &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2020\/02\/19\/planned-parenthood-sent-valentines-day-condoms-to-legislators-with-a-threat-dont-f-with-us\/\">goody bag<\/a>&#8221; from Planned Parenthood that has them wondering if the abortion corporation is actually threatening them.<\/p>\n<p>The California Globe <a href=\"https:\/\/californiaglobe.com\/section-2\/planned-parenthood-delivers-valentine-condoms-to-california-lawmakers\/\">reported<\/a>\u00a0this week that Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez posted an image of the bag and its contents on Facebook with the message, &#8220;Stay classy PP.&#8221; In the image, there is a clear message from Planned Parenthood written on the condom package: &#8220;DON&#8217;T F*CK WITH US. DON&#8217;T F*CK WITHOUT US.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Globe says, &#8220;Several Capitol employees including Sen. Grove said the statement on the condom appeared to be a threat. Indeed, \u201cDon\u2019t f*ck with us\u201d isn\u2019t mincing words.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FLifeNews%2Fposts%2F10158355626863598&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"510\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood might think they&#8217;re being cute, but there&#8217;s nothing cute about the message or their mission to kill thousands of babies through abortion. Telling lawmakers, &#8220;Don&#8217;t f*ck with us&#8221; could be viewed as a threat, as Planned Parenthood has vowed to spend <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-45-million-protect-abortion\/\">$45 million<\/a> on the 2020 elections, handpicking which pro-abortion candidates they want to have in their back pocket. But beyond being seen as a threat, the Planned Parenthood &#8220;goody bag&#8221; could also be seen as sexual harassment, especially in light of the #MeToo movement.<\/p>\n<p>A poem in the bag states:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Roses are red<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Violets are blue<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Planned Parenthood promotes safe sex<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Now your office can too!<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/californiaglobe.com\/section-2\/planned-parenthood-delivers-valentine-condoms-to-california-lawmakers\/\">California Globe<\/a>, Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove also received a bag from Planned Parenthood. She said, &#8220;We confirmed several offices received this &#8216;gift&#8217; from Planned Parenthood, including mine. Really???? This is how PP communicates with members of the state legislature. Good thing I stopped a group of kids from seeing in my office&#8230;&#8230; #Crass #disgusting #Vulgar.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>One of Senator Grove&#8217;s Facebook followers pointed out that if the bag had been given to a coworker it could be seen as sexual harassment and that &#8220;Planned Parenthood should be held accountable.&#8221; Indeed, having condoms on your desk at work and talking to your staffers about sex could definitely be grounds for a sexual harassment case.<\/p>\n<p>As the corporation moves forward with placing its facilities inside <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-los-angeles-high-schools\/\">50 Los Angeles schools<\/a>, it&#8217;s definitely past time for Californians to fight back.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/liveactionnewsonline\/\"><b><i>\u201cLike\u201d Live Action News on Facebook<\/i><\/b><\/a><b><i> for more pro-life news and commentary!<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>California lawmakers received a surprising Valentine&#8217;s Day &#8220;goody bag&#8221; from Planned Parenthood that has them wondering if the abortion corporation is actually threatening them.
