Gee<\/em><\/a>\u00a0reviews a <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/trump-administration-groups-supreme-court-louisiana-abortion\/\">Louisiana abortion law<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.operationrescue.org\/archives\/video-100-women-hospitalized-by-botched-abortions-in-2019-exposes-the-safe-abortion-lie\/?fbclid=IwAR0yrt3rrIOCE5Rd2I6suNySpDI-vzDsF-dqw_fsKwZ5VY1ZQ9IgyRIoD7g\">Operation Rescue<\/a>\u00a0has released a video providing evidence of 100 medical emergencies at abortion facilities in 2019 alone.<\/p>\n<p>The video begins with a clip from MSNBC news show host Rachel Maddow saying &#8220;Abortion is a relatively safe, low-risk procedure,&#8221; and &#8220;complications that require hospitalization are very rare.&#8221; If only complications <em>were<\/em> rare, Rachel.<\/p>\n<p>The scope of the video is breathtaking, yet Operation Rescue specifies that the list is in no way comprehensive.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4NU3alhRnDs\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I personally can attest to two 911 calls in 2019 from the Planned Parenthood in Springfield, Illinois, alone that are not reflected in the video.<\/p>\n<p><strong>18 Planned Parenthood Facilities Had Documented 911 calls, Including<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>West Chester Planned Parenthood, West Chester, PA<\/p>\n<p>Van Nuys Health Center Planned Parenthood, Van Nuys, CA<\/p>\n<p>St. Paul Health Center Planned Parenthood, St. Paul, MN<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood Center for Choice, Houston, TX (had multiple 911 calls)<\/p>\n<p>Near North Planned Parenthood, Chicago, IL (had multiple 911 calls)<\/p>\n<p>Aurora Planned Parenthood, Aurora, IL (had multiple 911 calls)<\/p>\n<p>Smithtown Planned Parenthood, Smithtown, NY<\/p>\n<p>Greater Boston Planned Parenthood, Boston, MA (had multiple 911 calls)<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood South Austin Center, Austin, TX<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/st-louis-planned-parenthood-lies-shut-down-week\/\">Reproductive Health Services Planned Parenthood, St. Louis, MO<\/a> (had multiple 911 calls, including 3 women in 22 days, and 74 emergency calls placed in the last 10 years)<\/p>\n<p>Providence Health Center, Providence, RI<\/p>\n<p>Hempstead Planned Parenthood, Hempstead, NY<\/p>\n<p>Carol Whitehill Moses Planned Parenthood, Washington, DC. (had multiple 911 calls)<\/p>\n<p>Baltimore Planned Parenthood, Baltimore, MD (had multiple 911 calls)<\/p>\n<p>Sarasota Planned Parenthood, Sarasota, FL<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-mega-facility-injures-woman\/\">Fairview Heights Health Center, Fairview Heights, IL<\/a> (had 911 call just one week after opening)<\/p>\n<p>Stapleton Planned Parenthood, Denver, CO<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/nyc-planned-parenthood-13th-emergency\/\">Margaret Sanger Planned Parenthood, New York, New York<\/a> (hospitalized 13 patients total: on 2\/16, 3\/6, 2 on 3\/27, 4\/4, 4\/30, 6\/7, 8\/1, 8\/22, 10\/3, 10\/5, 10\/7, and 11\/14)<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/media-women-fear-illegal-abortion-deaths-injuries\/\">Media tells women to fear illegal abortion, ignores legal abortion deaths and injuries<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Multiple Facilities Called 911 More Than Once In 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dishonorable mention for multiple calls in one year goes to facilities in St. Paul, MN (2 patients hemorrhaged 3 days apart), Houston, TX (2 calls), Little Rock, AR (3 calls), Detroit, MI (4 calls), Cherry Hills, CA (2 calls), Beverly Hills, CA (2 calls), Chicago, IL (Family Planning Associates in Chicago had 5 calls and Near North Planned Parenthood had 2), Dayton, OH (2 calls), Boston, MA (3 calls), Austin, TX (3 calls), Aurora, IL (3 calls), and Albuquerque, NM (2 calls).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hemorrhage The Most Common Complication<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fully 35 of the 100 911 calls were for abortion-related hemorrhages, including multiple cases of women hemorrhaging to unconsciousness, which constitutes a life-threatening situation.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the calls were horrific in nature, reflecting such complications as stroke, seizures, aspiration (choking on one&#8217;s vomit), hemorrhage, uterine perforation and more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abortion Fatality<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One known abortion-related death occurred on June 8th, 2019 at <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortion-facility-deaths-two-women-another\/\">Preterm<\/a> in Cleveland, OH. 26-year-old Tia Parks had an abortion there on June 7th, but staff failed to recognize that she had both an intrauterine pregnancy and an ectopic pregnancy. The ectopic pregnancy ruptured the next day and she died as a result. Another Preterm patient, 22-year-old Lakisha Wilson died due to abortion complications in March 2014.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/O7ILx7w36wA\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abortion &#8220;Safety&#8221; is a Farce<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Abortion advocates would have the public believe that pro-lifers are fear-mongers trying to deny access and bodily autonomy to women seeking legitimate medical care. How do they explain abortion facilities like Preterm in Cleveland that have had multiple patient deaths in a 5 year timespan, Margaret Sanger Planned Parenthood in New York that sent 13 women to the hospital in 2019 alone, and Reproductive Health Services Planned Parenthood in St. Louis that has had 74 911 calls in the past decade? Where is the outcry seeking justice for these women? The answer is simple. There is no discussion about their stories.
