Of course, all this crying wolf really does is <a href=\"\/news\/culture\/shots-fired-in-war-on-woman-to-punish-her-for-choosing-life\/\">define misogyny down<\/a> as women face true victimization elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>Fox News <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2012\/09\/25\/rapist-wants-visitiation-with-child-borne-by-teen-victim\/\">reports<\/a> that a Massachusetts rapist wants visitation rights to the child he fathered with his <em>fourteen-year-old<\/em> victim:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The man, who the victim knew from church and who was the boyfriend of her friend\u2019s older sister, pleaded guilty to statutory rape in Norfolk Superior Court last year. Prosecutor sought a 3-to-5-year sentence, but the judge in the case gave the man 16 years\u2019 probation with the condition he acknowledges that he is the father of the baby and submits to family court orders, reports MyFoxBoston.com.<\/p>\n<p>The family has hired attorney Wendy Murphy, who believes the problem stems from the sentence imposed in the criminal case, reports MyFoxBoston.com. She said making the man submit to a family court order opened the door to the visitation request.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The consequences of sentencing this man to probation for 16 years, which is really until the child becomes an adult, and making him declare paternity and pay child support, includes that this guy gets a legal father-child relationship out of the deal,&#8221; Murphy told the station.<\/p>\n<p>Murphy has filed a motion with the court, asking the judge to amend the sentencing and order the man to pay restitution instead of child support. This would force him to support the child but not give him visitation and other parental rights.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All this family wants is to cut the cord. Get the rapist out of their lives. And if the judge wants to help them financially that&#8217;s great. But let&#8217;s call it restitution, not child support,&#8221; Murphy told MyFoxBoston.com. &#8220;What kind of legal system commands a toddler into a relationship with the man who raped her mother?&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Answer: the kind you find in one of the nation\u2019s most <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gallup.com\/poll\/152459\/mississippi-conservative-state-liberal.aspx\">liberal<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/wiki\/index.php\/Partisan_composition_of_state_houses#Massachusetts\">Democrat-dominated<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prochoiceamerica.org\/government-and-you\/state-governments\/state-profiles\/massachusetts.html\">pro-choice<\/a> states. The judge <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myfoxboston.com\/story\/19628763\/2012\/09\/24\/rapist-wants-visitation-rights-teen-mom-fighting-back\">responsible<\/a> for the light sentence, Thomas McGuire, was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thesuffolkvoice.net\/news\/deval-patrick-nominates-suffolk-alum-to-ma-superior-court-1.130063#.UGMhAxjiOOU\">nominated<\/a> by left-wing Democrat Gov. Deval Patrick. No, visitation rights for rapists isn\u2019t a pro-choice position, but this happened on their watch, in a system they dominate. The causal link is certainly stronger than their routine insistence that pro-lifers are responsible for everything from <a href=\"http:\/\/factcheck.org\/2011\/10\/bidens-flint-fiasco-continued\/\">skyrocketing rapes<\/a> and <a href=\"\/news\/international\/dominican-pregnancy-death-sparks-american-demagoguery-over-life-of-the-mother-cases\/\">dead women<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eastvalleytribune.com\/local\/health\/article_6f3432c2-032b-11e2-8929-001a4bcf887a.html\">increased abortion rates<\/a> and <a href=\"\/news\/investigative\/fact-check\/the-abortion-crowds-selective-science\/\">scientific illiteracy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This case highlights two things: first, true violence and harassment against women don\u2019t bear the slightest resemblance to the pro-life positions routinely defamed as part of the \u201cWar on Women.\u201d Every time one of the abortion lobby\u2019s <a href=\"\/news\/politics\/sandra-fluke-spews-her-blatant-lies-again-at-the-dnc\/\">narcissistic female apologists<\/a> claims to be a victim of pro-lifers because they won&#8217;t let her kill her child or use government to impose her insurance preferences on her school or employer, she\u2019s really insulting actual victims like this poor teenage girl.<\/p>\n<p>Second, liberals are tough on rape only when there are abortions to facilitate or Republicans to embarrass &#8211; when it comes to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.people-press.org\/2012\/01\/06\/continued-majority-support-for-death-penalty\/\">executing<\/a> rapists, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanthinker.com\/blog\/2012\/08\/speaking_of_rape_and_the_war_on_women_-_democrats_oppose_mandatory_sentences_for_child_rapists.html\">mandatory sentencing<\/a> of rapists, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freerepublic.com\/focus\/news\/2486798\/posts\">felons voting<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/livepulse\/0310\/Dems_reject_amendment_to_ban_Viagra_for_sex_offenders.html\">taxpayer-subsidized Viagra<\/a> for sex offenders, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2012\/08\/20\/obama-mccaskill-funded-group-failing-to-report-child-rape\/\">child rape cover-ups<\/a> at abortion clinics, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsrealblog.com\/2011\/03\/08\/7-child-predators-protected-by-american-teachers-unions\/\">unions that defend<\/a> child-abusing members, or <a href=\"\/news\/politics\/todd-akin-and-the-rape-hypocrites\/\">scores of<\/a> liberal <a href=\"\/news\/analysis\/democrats-playing-with-fire-with-war-on-women-smear-campaign\/\">politicians and personalities<\/a> abusing and demeaning women, they\u2019re either AWOL or taking the soft side of the debate, ceding the true tough-on-rape ground to conservatives.<\/p>\n<p>If pro-aborts\u2019 compassion for rape victims is sincere and extends beyond keeping their babies killable, then they\u2019ve got a lot of catching up to do in proving it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Not exactly &#8220;tough on rape&#8221;
