\u201cI started arguing with my boyfriend, asking him why he had convinced me to do it. That I didn\u2019t want to, that I hated him,\u201d she wrote. \u201cAnd he was just looking at me, and I was crying and crying.\u201d<\/p>\n

Struck by her words, her boyfriend pulled the car over.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe started telling me I was right, that he was dumb for even talking me into it, that we should\u2019ve done the right thing,\u201d she recalled.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when her boyfriend decided to take action. Grabbing his phone, he began searching the internet for a way to save their unborn baby. Otherwise known as the \u201cabortion pill\u201d or RU-486, chemical abortions typically involve two drugs: mifepristone and misoprostol. For Brown, a woman\u2019s courage to call the helpline and try to rescue her baby is nothing short of heroic.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of APRN\u2019s main goals is to help ensure that women like Ivette have the opportunity to choose life for their children every step of the way,\u201d she said. \u201cWe are so thankful for the courage and strength of our clients who choose life often under many pressures to continue the abortion. All of our 900 moms are true heroes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite whatever glimmer of hope the helpline offered, Ivette was convinced it was too late for their baby.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told (my boyfriend), \u2018Hang up. This is ridiculous. There\u2019s nothing we can do. What is done is done,\u2019 and took away his phone as we drove back home,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI felt sad. I felt mad. I hated myself. I couldn\u2019t stop thinking about my daughter I already had and what a beautiful blessing she was coming into our lives.\u201d<\/p>\n
