But it seems there may have been little danger to Georgia in the first place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the Valdosta Daily Times, the state estimates that <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.valdostadailytimes.com\/cnhi_network\/abortion-ban-block-has-advocates-cheering-lawmakers-weary\/article_e9b7b764-e526-11e9-9cdb-d798761072e4.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">92,100 jobs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Georgia are related to the film industry, and according to Governor Kemp, last year, around 400 productions had a 2.9 billion dollar impact on the state &#8212; a record to date. Last year, 26 feature films, 214 television series and 91 commercials were involved in some way with the state, according to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wabe.org\/kemp-lauds-georgia-film-industry-success-despite-calls-for-boycott-over-anti-abortion-law\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WABE<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/women-miscarry-jailed-georgia-heartbeat-myths-debunked\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">heartbeat legislation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which would protect babies from abortion when a heartbeat is <em>detectable<\/em> &#8212; which is typically around six weeks\u2019 gestation &#8212; created a stir among celebrities. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/celebrities-threaten-georgia-heartbeat-bill\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alyssa Milano and other celebrities<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> threatened to boycott the industry in the state. But because of tax breaks and other measures that lower costs for the industry, Georgia\u2019s attractiveness to filmmakers has remained steady, a fact that suggests the high-profile threats by pro-abortion film industry insiders may have been empty.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/georgia-heartbeat-law-blocked-federal-judge\/\">Georgia heartbeat law blocked by federal judge<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the days before the injunction, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/wgxa.tv\/news\/local\/bruce-willis-spotted-in-georgia-as-new-movie-films-10-03-2019-143455247\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bruce Willis was spotted<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> around the state taking photos with fans while he prepared to film a new sci-fi movie. But most tellingly, a lead player in the Georgia film industry, Tyler Perry, has made it clear he is not going anywhere. Perry, who recently opened a major studio in Georgia which is, according to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/tv\/story\/2019-10-02\/tyler-perry-studios-atlanta-dedication\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LA Times<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, \u201clarger than Paramount, Warner Bros. and Walt Disney\u2019s Burbank studios combined,\u201d <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www1.cbn.com\/cbnnews\/entertainment\/2019\/october\/tyler-perry-refuses-to-up-and-leave-filming-in-georgia-over-abortion-bill\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">never intended to leave the state<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, something which would hamper any boycott.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWhen you put $250 million in the ground,\u201d said Perry according to the AP, \u201cyou just can\u2019t up and leave because I don\u2019t like what you\u2019ve done. I feel badly for my counterparts in the city who have also put tons of money into building stages. But they don\u2019t have the property, they don\u2019t have the shows, they don\u2019t have a Tyler Perry. I will be fine either way, but I am troubled that this could come along and disrupt everything I\u2019ve worked so hard to build, along with a lot of other great people in this town. What\u2019s stronger than a boycott is a vote.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Perry made it clear where he stands on the law, however, telling the Associated Press, \u201cI don\u2019t believe any man should be able to tell a woman what she can do with her body or reproductive organs.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Contrary to popular belief, pro-life individuals seek to protect
