A newborn baby boy was found<\/a> in a container next to a dumpster in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday morning by a woman who was taking out her garbage. She called police after she heard the baby crying at around 8:15 in the morning. He is believed to have only been a few hours old when he was found.<\/p>\n

When police arrived on the scene at Monterra Pointe Apartments on Tan Oak Lane, they had to perform CPR on the baby. He was taken to the hospital and it is believed he is going to be okay. According to NBCDFW.com<\/a>, police are searching for the baby’s parents in order to have a family health history in order to properly treat the baby. However, they said that the person who abandoned the baby could face a felony charge.<\/p>\n

“I can only imagine maybe what the mother’s going through,” said Arlington police Lt. Chris Cook. “There’s always a reason for something like this, so we’re not casting judgment, but we definitely need to figure out who placed this newborn child there.”<\/p>\n
