The public is often led to believe that we need Planned Parenthood, which\u00a0presents itself as<\/a>\u00a0a\u00a0health care organization<\/a>, to prevent pregnancies and reduce abortions. But while abortions have been decreasing nationwide, they are actually increasing<\/a> at Planned Parenthood, despite the fact that other\u00a0health care services at Planned Parenthood are\u00a0plummeting.<\/a><\/p>\n

According to the most recently published CDC numbers, in 2015<\/a>, 638,169 abortions were reported<\/a>, reaching their lowest level since\u00a0Roe v. Wade. <\/em>Yet, that same year\u00a0Planned Parenthood committed 328,348 abortions and then increased<\/a><\/em>\u00a0that number in 2017\u00a0to 332,757. Then, in\u00a02017<\/a>, the Guttmacher Institute — Planned Parenthood\u2019s former \u201cspecial affiliate<\/a>,\u201d which publishes more\u00a0comprehensive<\/a>\u00a0abortion numbers than the CDC — reported<\/a> 862,320<\/strong> abortions that year. Planned Parenthood\u2019s 2018-2019 annual report<\/a>\u00a0reveals the organization committed\u00a0 345,672<\/strong>\u00a0of those abortions \u201440% of all abortions<\/strong>, up\u00a0from its previous 35% market share.<\/p>\n
