You go to an abortion facility, take a couple of pills, experience a little cramping, and then go about your life. There&#8217;s no pain (just &#8220;discomfort&#8221;), no regret (the baby was just a supposed &#8220;blob of cells&#8221; anyway), and no danger (abortion is allegedly &#8220;safer than childbirth&#8221;). Yet countless women have had experiences completely different from what they&#8217;ve been sold.<\/p>\n<p>Vice, a pro-abortion news site,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en_us\/article\/7x5pqz\/what-is-incomplete-failed-abortion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">profiled women<\/a> who suffered incomplete abortions after taking RU-486, another name for the abortion pill. The author, Rose Stokes, explained that she had chosen to undergo a medication abortion at nine weeks pregnant because she was told it would be less invasive than a surgical procedure. &#8220;I took the first pill (mifepristone) on that day, and came back two days later to complete the procedure, which involved inserting the second set of pills (misoprostol) into my vagina,&#8221; she recounted. &#8220;It felt like an act of self-violence. I remember walking back out into the waiting room and folding into my mom\u2019s arms \u2014 crying with a ferocity I hadn\u2019t experienced since childhood.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The facility told her she would experience &#8220;mild cramping,&#8221; and that the abortion would be like a heavy period. They also said it should only last a day. &#8220;Within an hour, I had gone into full labor &#8212; I\u2019ll spare you a long description, but: contractions, vomiting, bleeding, crying, sh****ing. It went on for hours,&#8221; she said. &#8220;My mom was incredible; I was traumatized. Somehow it made us closer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lRDnVSMr5j0\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After a week, she was still having contractions, and when she went to the hospital, the doctor told her she had &#8220;dangerously low&#8221; blood pressure. Stokes said she spent &#8220;four hours of crying in agony&#8221; on the pregnancy unit, and had to undergo a surgical abortion, as the abortion was incomplete. &#8220;The whole ordeal left me physically and emotionally wrung out,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/painful-blood-abortion-pill-horrors-youtube\/\">\u2018So painful. Another woman, who went by the name &#8220;Diana,&#8221; spoke to Vice about her similarly awful experience. Like Stokes, Diana was still bleeding a week after taking the pills, while on a family vacation. \u201cIt was just awful. I\u2019d have a shower and look down and the floor would be red,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I\u2019d bleed through pads at an astonishing rate and couldn\u2019t go swimming.\u201d On the plane ride home, things only got worse.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe blood felt like it was gushing out of me and it soaked through my dress and onto the plane seats. It was humiliating and terrifying,&#8221; she explained. Like Stokes, the abortion hadn&#8217;t been completed, and she needed to have surgery. \u201cI was traumatized for a long time and I ended up dropping out of school,\u201d she explained, admitting, &#8220;I felt like I was being punished for my decision to end the pregnancy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another woman, Zoe Beatty, told Vice that after taking the pills, nothing happened at all. \u201cIt was just so frustrating,\u201d she told Stokes. \u201cI knew I was still pregnant, I could feel it inside me, but no one would take me seriously until the clinic confirmed it via a scan two weeks later.\u201d Like Stokes and Diana, Beatty had to undergo a surgical abortion.<\/p>\n<p>Though women are repeatedly told <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/obgyn-four-reasons-question-safety-of-at-home-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">how safe the abortion pill regimen is<\/a>, but even abortionists don&#8217;t always agree. A study <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/12-percent-abortionists-abortion-pill-friends\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">released earlier this year<\/a> found that only 12 percent of abortionists would be willing to recommend the abortion pill to a friend. Approximately a third had seen complications firsthand, including incomplete abortions, hemorrhaging, sepsis, and uterine rupture.<\/p>\n<p>Many women have also had <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/the-truth-about-ru-486\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">awful experiences<\/a>, describing it as a \u201cnightmare,\u201d \u201cone of the most painful experiences [she\u2019d] ever been through,\u201d and \u201chumiliating, painful, stressful, and virtually unbearable.\u201d Other women have even <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/women-die-abortion-pill-fda-generic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">died<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Is it really right, then, for women to constantly be told how safe and easy the abortion pill is?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/liveactionnewsonline\/\">\u201cLike\u201d Live Action News on Facebook<\/a> for more pro-life news and commentary!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to the abortion industry and its supporters, medication abortions, or abortion pills, are no big deal.
