Ann Kristin Neuhaus, former abortionist and colleague of late-term abortionist George Tiller, has been in the news recently after losing her license to practice medicine<\/a>. Now, Neuhaus is challenging the ruling<\/a> of the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts in an attempt to get her medical license back.<\/p>\n

An attorney for a Kansas doctor sanctioned over her referrals of young patients for late-term abortions says a court battle she’s started to regain her medical license is likely to be lengthy.<\/p>\n

Kelly Kauffman, an attorney representing Dr. Ann Kristin Neuhaus, said Thursday it’s likely to take two years or more to settle the challenge filed by Neuhaus in Shawnee County District Court.<\/p>\n

Neuhaus hopes to overturn the State Board of Healing Arts decision in June to revoke her medical license.<\/p>\n

The board ratified an administrative judge’s earlier finding that Neuhaus didn’t perform adequate mental health exams on 11 young patients she referred in 2003 to the late George Tiller, the Wichita physician who performed late-term abortions. Neuhaus filed her court petition last month and strongly disputes the allegations.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Why was Neuhaus’ license revoked? Well, in addition to facilitating George Tiller in performing late-term abortions, she was found to have given her patients shoddy care. Eleven girls were taken to Neuhaus to get late-term abortions, because Tiller needed a second doctor’s approval in order to perform the abortions. Neuhaus claimed that the girls were suicidal and thus needed to get the abortions, but she never recommended follow-up treatment for the supposedly suicidal teenage girls. And rather than actually performing a mental health evaluation, Neuhaus simply checked “yes” or “no” in a computer program and then assigned whatever diagnosis the program gave her.<\/p>\n

Basically, Neuhaus just rubber-stamped the medical forms needed to ensure that Tiller was able to perform the late-term abortions.<\/p>\n

In addition to this, though, Neuhaus had previously been in trouble with the state board. She’d been previously accused of performing a forced abortion, poor record-keeping, and improper patient care.<\/p>\n

Now, the abortion lobby clearly wants this woman to have her medical license back. But consider all the evidence we have before us. Does this sound like a good doctor, one with her patients’ best interests at heart? She’s consistently been in trouble with the state board, having shown multiple times to have problems. The fact that this woman could possibly practice medicine again is a terrifying prospect, but obviously, Neuhaus will stop at nothing to make sure she gets her license back and returns to butchering babies.<\/p>\n

Hopefully, the Kansas State Board of the Healing Arts will do the right thing and continue to protect women from Ann Kristin Neuhaus. They deserve better medical care than what she’s provided.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
