NASEM&#8217;s report, &#8220;The Safety and Quality of Abortion Care in the United States,&#8221; was financed in part by foundations with possible profit motives (a huge conflict of interest), namely\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nrlc.org\/archive\/news\/2006\/NRL07\/BuffettDonation.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Warren Buffett<\/a>\u00a0and the <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/secrecy-abortion-pill-maker-investors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Packard Foundation,<\/a>\u00a0which seeded the start-up of the abortion pill manufacturer, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/secrecy-abortion-pill-maker-investors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Danco Laboratories, LLC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20110518050157\/https:\/\/www.packard.org\/what-we-fund\/population-reproductive-health\/\">website<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> made clear its goal is \u201cexpanding access to safe abortion.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Current\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.packard.org\/what-we-fund\/population-reproductive-health\/what-were-doing\/united-states\/\">website<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> says it exists to \u201censure that women receive quality abortion care by supporting advocacy in targeted states and addressing the clinic and provider shortage.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.packard.org\/what-we-fund\/grants-database\/?grant_keyword=Planned+Parenthood+&amp;program_area=Population+and+Reproductive+Health&amp;award_amount=All+Amounts&amp;award_year=All+Years\">substantial
