“Teen Mom” alums Catelynn Lowell and husband Tyler Baltierra shared a moving reflection on the 10-year anniversary of their decision to place their first-born daughter in an adoptive family.<\/p>\n

Lowell shared the news on Twitter that she and Baltierra would be seeing their biological daughter, Carly, writing<\/a>, \u201cToday is a very special day we get to see Carly and her parents \u2764\ufe0f Nova & Vaeda get to hang with their sister ? #blessed #adoption #sisters\u201d. \u00a0Since their first appearance on “Teen Mom,”\u00a0Lowell and Baltierra were married and welcomed two more daughters, Novalee and Vaeda, whom they are raising together.<\/p>\n

The “Teen Mom”\u00a0reality show followed Lowell and Baltierra as they prepared for Carly\u2019s birth when they were 17 years old. Carly\u2019s family has an open adoption with Lowell and Baltierra, meaning they remain in contact and have visits, but the family has a strict policy of not showing Carly\u2019s face on television or social media.<\/p>\n

Baltierra shared a moving message to Carly on her birthday in May on Instagram<\/a>. He captioned the photo showing the back of Carly\u2019s head as she holds her four-year-old biological sister Novalee: “10 years ago yesterday, we were only 17. 10 years ago, we brought you into the world. 10 years ago, we only got to hold you by ourselves for a half hour in the hospital as we just cried & stared at you, remembering every little detail of how absolutely perfect you were, since we knew that even though we just met, we had to say goodbye.”<\/p>\n
