Planned Parenthood’s political arm recently sponsored a “We Decide” membership forum in South Carolina where every 2020 Democrat political presidential hopeful vowed to protect abortion, and most promised to reverse the\u00a0pro-life Hyde Amendment, which would force federal taxpayers to fund<\/a>\u00a0abortions. Planned Parenthood reflected on states where recent pro-life laws were enacted which seek to protect the preborn at the moment a heartbeat is detected in the womb. While Planned Parenthood labeled pro-life legislation as “part of a concerted strategy to ban abortion outright by overturning\u00a0Roe v. Wade,” <\/em>the abortion corporation’s own “2019 strategy<\/a>” along with several other pro-abortion<\/a> groups, has been to expand<\/a> abortions to all nine months of pregnancy in several states.<\/p>\n

Abortion expansion, it seems, has also now become the position of most of the 2020 Democratic hopefuls. Below are some of the more pertinent quotes from that event.<\/p>\n

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand: <\/b>“As president…I will codify<\/a> Roe. I will repeal the Hyde Amendment.”<\/p>\n

Senator Kamala Harris<\/strong><\/a>: Harris suggested pro-life pregnancy centers did not give women accurate information. She vowed to remove TitleX funding from pro-life PRC’s. “If elected, I am going to require that for any state that passes legislation… if they have a history of passing legislation that has interfered with or suppressed a woman’s access to reproductive health [abortion] that anything that they propose and pass has to be reviewed by my Department of Justice to determine whether it complies with the Constitution of the United States and Roe v. Former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper<\/strong>: The governor was asked by a mental health clinician (an abortion facility escort for late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart in Nebraska) how he would “expand abortion.” His response was to essentially call abortion an “inalienable right” and vowed to use government to stop “false information” from pro-life pregnancy centers so the information is “clear and based on science. How about we try science for a little bit?” he asked, clearly ignoring the science of human fetal development.<\/p>\n

“If I’m president, you’re going to see a magnificent expansion of Title X funds to make sure that all women get access to their reproductive rights.\u201d<\/p>\n

The governor then defended the sub-par\u00a0Whole Woman’s Health<\/a> abortion facility initially denied a license to operate in South Bend, Indiana. “That’s why we need federal action to establish that states cannot pass these backdoor restrictions….”<\/p>\n

Yang then vowed to repeal the Hyde Amendment.\u00a0“[N]o one should feel like they\u2019re forced to have a child because of restrictions on abortion or reproductive care\u2026.”<\/p>\n

To Planned Parenthood workers in the audience, Yang stated, “There’s so many people around the country who benefit from your work…. I want to say how grateful I am for what you do…. I don’t think male legislatures should have anything to do with making decisions about women’s reproductive rights. I actually feel self-conscious answering questions about it….”<\/p>\n
