{"id":205384,"date":"2019-06-24T22:22:15","date_gmt":"2019-06-25T03:22:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/?p=205384"},"modified":"2019-06-25T00:02:25","modified_gmt":"2019-06-25T05:02:25","slug":"judge-unlicensed-missouri-planned-parenthood-abortions-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/judge-unlicensed-missouri-planned-parenthood-abortions-days\/","title":{"rendered":"Judge lets dangerous unlicensed Missouri facility commit abortions for four more days"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Judge Michael Stelzer, who <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/judge-seals-records-abortions-missouri-planned-parenthood\/\">sealed<\/a> a 62-page <a href=\"https:\/\/www.operationrescue.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/1922-CC02395-6-13-2019-Exhibit-A.pdf\">Statement of Deficiencies<\/a> from the Missouri Department of Health at the request of Reproductive Health Services Planned Parenthood, has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kbia.org\/post\/judge-sends-abortion-dispute-between-missouri-planned-parenthood-state-commission#stream\/0\">extended the preliminary injunction<\/a> issued to RHS Planned Parenthood in St. Louis until Friday, June 28, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. The DHSS announced on Friday that it would not be renewing the license of the facility due to 30 deficiencies (26 of which remained unaddressed) and failure to comply or create a plan of action that was satisfactory.<\/p>\n<p>This ruling means that RHS Planned Parenthood has four more days to continue committing abortions &#8212; unlicensed &#8212; and to file an appeal to convince the Administrative Hearing Commission that it deserves to have its license renewed. The Administrative Hearing Commission resolves disputes between state regulators and private organizations.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Administrative Hearing Commission is where this case should have been taken all along,&#8221; said Troy Newman, President of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.operationrescue.org\/archives\/judge-orders-st-louis-planned-parenthoods-preliminary-injunction-to-expire-in-four-days\/\">Operation Rescue<\/a>. &#8220;We look forward to the DHSS&#8217;s order being upheld, which will mean an end to Planned Parenthood abortions in Missouri.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The DHSS has refused to renew the license because the facility&#8217;s plan of correction did not include how to overcome its history of life-threatening abortion injuries and incomplete abortions. At least 74 women have been injured, four women had failed abortions, and one woman nearly died while state safety laws continued to be violated at the facility.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/media-missouri-planned-parenthood-license-political-wrong\/\">Media lies to public, claims Missouri Planned Parenthood lost license for political reasons<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CFZDhM5Gwhk\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>RHS Planned Parenthood sued the DHSS, but when the DHSS requested to interview abortionists regarding patient safety, Planned Parenthood refused. They claim that state officials are attempting to shut them down in order to end abortion in the state.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What Planned Parenthood really wanted was for the DHSS just to ignore the inconvenient fact they nearly killed women during botched abortions. They want their facility license renewed without question and without compliance,&#8221; said Newman. &#8220;We are thankful that the DHSS has put the rule of law and the lives of women above RHS Planned Parenthood&#8217;s capricious demands. Anything less would have been a betrayal of their duty to protect the public.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>RHS Planned Parenthood is the last abortion facility in Missouri and if it fails to convince the Administrative Hearing Commission to renew its license, it will be forced to stop committing surgical abortions. Missouri would become the first state since Roe v.
