Senators want to know."},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Two U.S. senators are asking authorities for an update to a previous Judiciary Committee investigation, which issued\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/judiciary\/upload\/Life%2C%2012-12-16%2C%20Referral%20letter%20to%20DoJ%20Fetal%20Tissue%20oversight.pdf\">criminal referrals<\/a>\u00a0for Planned Parenthood Federation of America and several affiliates and organizations connected to the sale of the body parts of aborted children. A\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/news\/news-releases\/current-former-judiciary-chairmen-continue-oversight-response-alleged-sale-human\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a> issued by Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) this week states that he and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) &#8220;sent a letter to Attorney General William Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray following up on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/news\/news-releases\/grassley-refers-planned-parenthood-fetal-tissue-procurement-organizations-fbi\">Grassley\u2019s 2016 referral<\/a>\u00a0of eight organizations for investigation and potential prosecution for the alleged sale of human fetal tissue following a 2016 Grassley-led Committee investigation.&#8221; Grassley was the former Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman at the time of the hearings and states that in June, the FBI confirmed to the Committee they had received the referrals.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/senate-judiciary-committee-refers-planned-parenthood-for-fbi-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previous<\/a> Live Action News report at the time the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/judiciary\/upload\/Life%2C%2012-12-16%2C%20Referral%20letter%20to%20DoJ%20Fetal%20Tissue%20oversight.pdf\">criminal referrals<\/a> were issued named the eight organizations as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Planned Parenthood Federation of America<\/li>\n<li>StemExpress, LLC<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Bioscience Resources, Inc. (ABR)<\/li>\n<li>Novogenix Laboratories, LLC<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood Mar Monte<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood Los Angeles<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood Northern California<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;These eight criminal referrals were based on an investigation by the Committee&#8217;s majority staff, which resulted in a report titled &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.judiciary.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/2016-12-13%20MAJORITY%20REPORT%20-%20Human%20Fetal%20Tissue%20Research%20-%20Context%20and%20Controversy.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Human Fetal Tissue Research: Context and Controversy<\/a>,'&#8221; the letter states.<\/p>\n<p>In November of 2017, according to a report <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/senate\/360154-fbi-seeks-senate-documents-signaling-possible-probe-into-sale-of-fetal-tissue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">published<\/a> by The Hill, the\u00a0FBI asked the Senate for &#8220;unredacted documents it obtained from abortion providers, signaling agents may be investigating whether Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers illegally sold fetal tissue and body parts, according to sources familiar with the document request.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The investigation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gop.gov\/solution_content\/plannedparenthood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stemmed<\/a> from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/centerformedprogress\/playlists\">undercover videos<\/a>\u00a0published by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Center for Medical Progress (CMP)<\/a> which showed Planned Parenthood staffers\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6LPlHjP1DVw\">haggling<\/a>\u00a0over\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MjCs_gvImyw\">the price<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0the bodies of the babies they abort. Journalists at CMP also exposed StemExpress, including interviews with a <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/holly-odonnell-abortion-industry-whistleblower\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">former staffe<\/a>r of the fetal research company.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jjxwVuozMnU\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The undercover CMP footage also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-officials-want-late-term-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revealed<\/a>, as Live Action News previously\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-officials-want-late-term-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>, what appeared to be a late abortion expansion plan by the abortion corporation.\u00a0Live Action News has since\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/later-abortions-planned-parenthood-goal-commit-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">documented<\/a>\u00a0that Planned Parenthood facilities are committing abortions up to 24 weeks in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/health-center\/california\/san-diego\/92101\/first-avenue-specialty-services-michelle-wagner-center-4036-90110\/abortion\">San Diego, CA<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/health-center\/california\/riverside\/92506\/riverside-flaster-family-health-center-2187-90110\/abortion\">Riverside, CA<\/a>, among other locations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/first-trimester-abortion-recognizable-body-parts\/\">L<em>ying to women: First-trimester abortion presentation shows recognizable aborted body parts<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The June 18th\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/2018-06-18%20LOG%2C%20CEG%20to%20DOJ%2C%20FBI%20%28fetal%20tissue%29.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">letter<\/a>\u00a0sent to the Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation states in part:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>The investigation found evidence suggesting that the buying or selling of human fetal tissue may have occurred, as demonstrated in billing records and procurement logs provided by the named organizations to the Committee.
