Planned Parenthood,\u00a0despite receiving taxpayer funds of over half a billion dollars a year,\u00a0appears to be gearing up to commit more late abortion procedures than previously committed — at a time in gestation when a number of abortion providers find them uncomfortable. According to the\u00a0TEACH Program<\/a>\u00a0(Training Early Abortion for Comprehensive Healthcare)\u00a0workbook<\/a>\u00a0, published by an abortion training program at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), “The number of [abortion] providers decreases with increasing gestational age: 95% offer abortion at 8 weeks, 34% to 20 weeks, and 16% to 24 weeks.” Yet, taxpayer-funded Planned Parenthood appears comfortable committing abortions at 24 weeks,<\/a>\u00a0despite opposition\u00a0by a majority of Americans.<\/p>\n

In 2015, undercover footage obtained by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP)\u00a0revealed<\/a>\u00a0Planned Parenthood abortionists\u00a0discussing their expected weekly\u00a0numbers\u00a0of late-term,\u00a0healthy<\/em><\/a>\u00a0\u201cspecimens\u201d for procurement agencies and researchers\u00a0\u2013\u00a0not<\/em>\u00a0ones with anomalies. It was at this time when, as Live Action News previously\u00a0documented<\/a>, Planned Parenthood’s late abortion expansion plan was set in motion. In\u00a0July<\/a>\u00a0of 2014, then-Senior Director of Medical Services for Planned Parenthood, Deborah Nucatola,\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0the Center for Medical Progress investigators\u00a0that the number of babies aborted by Planned Parenthood at 20 weeks or greater would be increasing:<\/p>\n

But what you\u2019re going to see, and see more of is, the Planned Parenthood affiliates who do go to\u00a020 weeks<\/a>, their volume is going to go up, it\u2019s not going down…There\u2019s a lot of conversation about who goes to the legal limit in their state; if they don\u2019t go to the legal limit in their state why don\u2019t they? Is there another provider that does? So we\u2019re about to start doing some mapping work to say, you know, are there states where nobody\u2019s going to the legal limit? And if not, why not, and\u00a0what can we do about that<\/strong>?<\/em><\/p>\n

She added that at just one location,\u00a0\u201cYou know, PPLA for example\u00a0\u2013\u00a0probably about 3,000 2nd tris, 12,000 total.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite a developed baby being clearly\u00a0depicted<\/a> by Planned Parenthood at this stage, (see image below) at the “pregnancy” section of the abortion corporation’s\u00a0website,<\/a>\u00a0Planned Parenthood openly advertises how they will end that same life in an abortion for pay.\u00a0Below is a breakdown of some of their later abortion facilities listed online:<\/p>\n

          • During the 6th month<\/strong>: Your fetus starts to develop blood cells, taste buds, eyebrows and eyelashes.<\/li>\n
          • During week 23-24<\/strong>: The fetus has a CRL [crown rump length] of about 8 inches (20 cm). Eyebrows and eyelashes usually develop between weeks 23 and 26.<\/li>\n
          • During week 21-22<\/strong>: The fetus has a CRL [crown rump length] of about 7 inches (18\u201319 cm). Bone marrow starts making blood cells. Taste buds begin to form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            For more accurate and complete information on fetal development, visit the Endowment for Human Development<\/a>. (Incidentally, EHD.org notes that taste buds are present by 11-12 weeks<\/a>, but the baby begins to actually use<\/em> those taste buds at 25 weeks.)<\/p>\n

            And yet, Planned Parenthood commits abortions at this stage<\/a>\u00a0using a dismemberment D&E procedure. The gruesome method is demonstrated by former abortionist Dr. Anthony Levatino in the video below:<\/p>\n
