Tonight, the White House hosted a screening of the film “Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer,” which tells the story of Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell, whose crimes of killing women and “snipping” the spinal cords of babies born alive after abortion earned him prison time.<\/p>\n

According to the National Catholic Register<\/a>:<\/p>\n

White House Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deere said in a statement to the Register that the movie provides a \u201cstartling reminder\u201d of the gruesome true story of Gosnell\u2019s practices.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cKermit Gosnell was convicted on three counts of first-degree murder for killing babies by cutting their spines after he botched the abortions, and this film is a startling reminder of these horrific atrocities,\u201d Deere said.<\/em><\/p>\n

He also linked Gosnell\u2019s murder of infants born alive to the recent defense of late-term abortion from Democrats.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cDemocrats now defend this procedure,\u201d he emphasized, \u201cbut President Trump has made protecting life and ending infanticide a priority for this administration.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
