She tells the man filming the video, \u201cI tried to like cover it up and not think about it, but it\u2019s the older I get the more it comes back to me.\u201d She explained, \u201cBecause it\u2019s like, my baby would be <em>this <\/em>old.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kJL-Y6oKMMQ\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The woman emphasizes the lasting effects of the abortion, saying, \u201cMy life changed. I changed.\u201d She adds, \u201cI ain\u2019t been the same since.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The video was shot at a Created Equal demonstration that featured controversial images of abortion victims. The man filming the video notes that some people are opposed to the use of these disturbing images because of the effect they may have on women who have had abortions and asks the mother in the video what her views are.<\/p>\n<p>The post-abortive mother\u2019s response is not what you might expect. She says seeing the images is part of coming to terms with what happened, explaining, \u201cThat\u2019s a stage of my healing process.\u201d She also says that images of babies killed in abortion opened her eyes to what abortion is from a young age, saying, \u201cThese [images of abortion victims] are what have always made me against it [abortion].\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/babies-student-abortion-pro-life\/\">\u2018These are babies\u2019: Student sees abortion victim images, becomes pro-life<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Far from condemning the use of these controversial displays, the post-abortive woman supports Created Equal\u2019s efforts and views them as a way to bring the truth to more people. While she was coerced into an abortion as a minor, many women choose abortion without knowing what they are consenting to. The woman explains, \u201csometimes some people might be for something that they really don\u2019t know much about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Abortion facility workers have described the aftermath of abortion as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/post-abortive-worker-abortion-gruesome\/\">gruesome<\/a>\u201d and witnessing the destruction of preborn life has led some abortion workers to leave their jobs. As the grieving mother in the Created Equal video points out, people who have never seen these images can be deceived about the reality of abortion.
