While pro-life activists and organizations have received their share of threats (phone calls, mail, personal threats, online, etc.), more serious attacks of <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/?s=vandalism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vandalism<\/a> and even violent <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/?s=assault\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">assault<\/a> take place against pro-lifers with little mention in the press.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9FjKvMNqMms\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The false painting of pro-life groups as hateful and violent even led to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2013\/09\/frc-shooter-sentenced-to-25-years-097069\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deranged gunman<\/a>\u00a0seeking to shoot staff at the pro-life Family Research Council. In 2009, <a href=\"https:\/\/nbc25news.com\/news\/nation-world\/jury-process-continues-for-drake-murder-case?id=421398\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harlan Drake<\/a>\u00a0shot and murdered pro-life activist <a href=\"https:\/\/saynsumthn.wordpress.com\/tag\/harlen-drake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">James Pouillon,<\/a>\u00a0while Pouillon displayed images of babies outside a Michigan school. Recently a man was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kansas.com\/news\/local\/crime\/article225284565.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">indicted<\/a> on federal charges after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/listen-operation-rescue-staffer-receives-disturbing-death-threats\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">threatening<\/a> to kill or rape members of Operation Rescue. Other <a href=\"https:\/\/saynsumthn.wordpress.com\/2015\/07\/08\/2-gun-incidents-outside-abortion-clinics-only-one-arrest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">threats<\/a> to pro-lifers involving <a href=\"https:\/\/saynsumthn.wordpress.com\/2011\/06\/09\/gun-violence-at-abortion-clinics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">guns<\/a>\u00a0&#8212;\u00a0including one by an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heraldcourier.com\/news\/doctor-charged-with-pointing-handgun-at-abortion-protestors\/article_3cc3f782-83a7-51ae-86ad-1983eb2720c0.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abortionist<\/a>\u00a0&#8212;\u00a0have thus far ended peacefully.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hWNCSkQCHb8\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Live Action News previously <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/pro-life-activist-janet-folger-porter-run-ohio-senate-citing-legislative-blockage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">documented<\/a> an act of arson committed against Janet Folger Porter, who wrote about the incident in her book,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=PNxVoXpcjlAC&amp;pg=PT141&amp;lpg=PT141&amp;dq=right+to+life+leader+car+sabotaged&amp;source=bl&amp;ots=Y1PpmExcS5&amp;sig=rGB5_RZKfETrOYmZlK3olz1AITM&amp;hl=en&amp;sa=X&amp;ved=0ahUKEwjJ6KDkwP3JAhVMRiYKHdAbB9kQ6AEIJDAB#v=onepage&amp;q=right%20to%20life%20leader%20car%20sabotaged&amp;f=false\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">True to Life<\/a>,\u00a0where she published this image of her car which was burned:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-83572 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liveactionnews.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Janet-Folger-Porter-prolifer-threatened-bomb-abortion-Cleveland-paper.jpg\" alt=\"Janet Folger Porter prolifer threatened bomb abortion Cleveland paper\" width=\"634\" height=\"451\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Janet-Folger-Porter-prolifer-threatened-bomb-abortion-Cleveland-paper.jpg 634w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Janet-Folger-Porter-prolifer-threatened-bomb-abortion-Cleveland-paper-300x213.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 634px) 100vw, 634px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The abortion lobby, with the help of complicit pro-abortion media has portrayed pro-lifers as &#8220;violent&#8221; with regularity. The effort is led by the <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/national-abortion-federation-sexual-harassment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Abortion Federation (NAF),<\/a> which collects alleged &#8220;violence and disruption&#8221; claims from abortion providers and <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20190407133929\/https:\/\/prochoice.org\/education-and-advocacy\/violence\/violence-statistics-and-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">publishes<\/a> them annually. While there are serious incidents listed, the report lacks evidence that every alleged act is being committed by pro-life advocates and not a disgruntled employee, angry family member, or random criminal. However\u00a0violence has been <a href=\"https:\/\/lifedynamics.com\/category\/pro-choice-violence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">documented<\/a> by Live Action News and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/tags\/tag\/pro-abortion+violence\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">other groups<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Brian Clowes at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hli.org\/resources\/violence-pro-choice-movement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Human Life International<\/a>\u00a0collected data on pro-choice violence for many years. According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2011\/07\/05\/web-site-chronicles-violence-by-abortion-supporters-practitioners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a>\u00a0from Life News, Clowes published 1,200 pages of descriptions and documentation. The research, no longer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/blogs\/new-website-documents-pro-choice-violence\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">published<\/a> online,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hli.org\/resources\/pro-abortion-violence-fixing-the-record\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tracked<\/a>\u00a0violence <a href=\"https:\/\/saynsumthn.wordpress.com\/2016\/06\/05\/state-files-complaint-against-abortion-doc-once-accused-of-threatening-wife-with-pistol-after-failing-to-report-several-criminal-convictions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">committed<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/saynsumthn.wordpress.com\/2013\/08\/28\/florida-abortionist-get-slap-on-the-wrist-after-slapping-face-of-a-patient\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abortion providers<\/a> (some in <a href=\"https:\/\/lifedynamics.com\/busted-the-abortion-industry\/bad-medicine\/jail-birds-the-abortion-industrys-most-wanted\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">prison<\/a> for <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/media-abortion-extremist-double-standard-is-showing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">murder<\/a>), by pro-choice men who assaulted or murdered girlfriends for refusing to submit to abortion, and by pro-choice supporters who attacked pro-life sidewalk counselors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf people truly understood how backwards the media narrative is regarding the supposed intolerance and violence of pro-lifers, compared to that of \u2018pro-choicers,\u2019 we would be having a very different conversation about abortion in our nation today,\u201d Clowes once <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sba-list.org\/suzy-b-blog\/putting-pro-life-violence-perspective\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a>\u00a0the Susan B. Anthony List.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_197981\" style=\"width: 460px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-197981\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-197981 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/lifethreats-against-operation-rescue.jpg\" alt=\"Image: Threatening letter sent to pro-life group Operation Rescue \" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/lifethreats-against-operation-rescue.jpg 450w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/lifethreats-against-operation-rescue-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-197981\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Threatening letter sent to pro-life group Operation Rescue<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The pro-life group\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lifedynamics.com\/life-dynamics-uncovers-rape-sexual-assault-hidden-inside-abortion-clinics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Life Dynamics<\/a> recently issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/lifedynamics.com\/busted-the-abortion-industry\/rape-sexual-assault\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a>\u00a0that shows abortion providers have been sexually assaulting and raping their clients for years. &#8220;In my 1996 book, Lime 5, I referenced more than 30 documented criminal cases in which abortion clinic doctors had been charged with raping or sexually assaulting their patients. In just these few cases, several hundred women were known to have been victimized,&#8221; president Mark Crutcher <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prolifeamerica.com\/under-the-radar-violence-in-the-conflict-over-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">noted<\/a>.\u00a0There are also <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/child-porn-harassment-rape-planned-parenthood-haven-sex-offenders\/\">many<\/a> other reported\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/florida-abortionists-predatory-histories\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cases<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Life Dynamics also tracked <a href=\"https:\/\/lifedynamics.com\/category\/under-the-radar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">incidents<\/a> of forced abortion, and when the pro-life group created a tool called a &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/lifedynamics.com\/prevent-forced-abortion-use-pro-life-tool\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">force form<\/a>&#8221; to help protect women and thwart coercion, they claimed abortion advocates <a href=\"https:\/\/lifedynamics.com\/life-dynamics-attacked-over-the-issue-of-forced-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">condemned<\/a>\u00a0it.\u00a0Life Dynamics <a href=\"https:\/\/lifedynamics.com\/life-dynamics-attacked-over-the-issue-of-forced-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Of course, the abortion industry has known for years that forced abortions are a problem \u2013 there have even been discussions about it at National Abortion Federation conferences. The discussions at these meetings reveal that the same people who advocate for\u00a0\u201cchoice\u201d\u00a0to the media, politicians, and the country \u2013 [have] a stance of\u00a0\u201cconvenient indifference\u201d\u00a0when it comes to women being forced to get abortions. They acknowledge its existence and talk about it in disapproving tones, while making it clear that they feel no obligation to let it influence the way they deal with these women.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In the interest of full disclosure, I conducted research for Life Dynamics&#8217; &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.prolifeamerica.com\/under-the-radar-violence-in-the-conflict-over-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Under the Radar<\/a>&#8221; report <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prolifeamerica.com\/under-the-radar-violence-in-the-conflict-over-abortion\/2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">documenting<\/a>\u00a0how women who refuse to submit to abortion are attacked or assaulted.\u00a0As the report <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prolifeamerica.com\/under-the-radar-violence-in-the-conflict-over-abortion\/3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">details<\/a>, the media is quite silent about this form of abortion-related violence:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>[W]hen we were able to obtain copies of police reports, indictments, court records or other similar documentation for these cases, they would almost universally show that when a perpetrator is confronted by an unwanted pregnancy, his first response is not violence but a demand that his partner have an abortion. When violence ensues, it is inevitably a reaction to her refusal to comply.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>However, the media\u2019s coverage of these incidents often contains no mention of abortion. Instead, they either portray women who are attacked for refusing to have abortions as women who are attacked for getting pregnant, or they characterize the incident as one of simple \u201cdomestic violence\u201d in which the victim\u2019s pregnancy is basically inconsequential.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>While the media touts pro-abortion violence statistics, consistently left out is the fact that women are injured and even killed by the abortion industry &#8212;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/saynsumthn.wordpress.com\/2010\/09\/14\/abortion-doctor-sentenced-to-jail-for-womans-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laura Hope Smith<\/a>, and like Planned Parenthood patients\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/brother-woman-died-planned-parenthood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cree-Erwin<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/patient-hemorrhages-planned-parenthood-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tonya Reaves<\/a>. I attended the funeral of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.forerunner.com\/fyi\/gutierrez.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carolina Gutierrez<\/a>\u00a0and previously <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/i-saw-abortion-first-hand-bodies-babies-tossed-dumpster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">detailed<\/a>\u00a0how her agonizing death following her legal abortion took weeks.
