It is one of the oldest pro-life groups in the nation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fvoiceforlife%2Fposts%2F10156153270047507&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"280\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the 1980s, Smith <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/voiceforlife\/posts\/10156153270047507\">teamed up<\/a> with former abortionist and NARAL leader Dr. Bernard Nathanson to make &#8220;The Silent Scream&#8221; using actual video of a 13-week old preborn child being killed by a suction aspiration abortion. The movie was released at a press conference in the White House and quickly became a tool of the pro-life movement to show the horror and destruction of abortion. It was translated into seven languages.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gON-8PP6zgQ\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/first-trimester-abortion-works-dc\/\">How a first trimester abortion works: The Suction Aspiration D&amp;C<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Smith also acted as a sidewalk counselor at an abortion clinic, helping thousands of pregnant women. In addition to &#8220;The Silent Scream,&#8221; he made several other pro-life films including &#8220;Conceived in Liberty,&#8221; &#8220;Your Crisis Pregnancy,&#8221; and &#8220;The Right to Kill.&#8221; And in 1999, Biola University awarded him with an honorary Doctor of Laws Degree.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fbeverly.cielnicky%2Fposts%2F10218747228221995&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"293\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>His most recent project for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.crusadeforlife.org\/Why%20a%20Human%20Life%20Amendment.pdf\">Crusade for Life<\/a> has been working on a Constitutional Life Amendment to end abortion in American permanently.<\/p>\n<p>His wife of 55 years, Virginia, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/beverly.cielnicky\/posts\/10218747228221995\">preceded<\/a> him in death, as did his daughter Rebecca.
