The legislation will also penalize doctors who break the new law and continue to commit these barbaric abortions.<\/p>\n<p>The bill, set to take effect in 90 days, will outlaw the use of dismemberment abortions without any exceptions for rape or health reasons.\u00a0According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guttmacher.org\/gpr\/2017\/02\/de-abortion-bans-implications-banning-most-common-second-trimester-procedure\">Guttmacher Insitute<\/a>, the\u00a0dismemberment method of abortion, which rips a child&#8217;s limbs from his or her torso, is used in about 95 percent of all second-trimester abortions. Former abortionist Dr. Anthony Levatino explains what occurs during a D&amp;E abortion in the video below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jgw4X7Dw_3k\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Science has proven that preborn children feel pain, with recent research showing they will respond to stimuli as early as <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/research-now-shows-reborn-babies-feel-pain-very-early-by-8-weeks\/\">eight weeks<\/a>. Children targeted for abortion using D&amp;Es are likely being put through what must be excruciating\u00a0pain without any thought by the abortionist to provide them with anesthesia.<\/p>\n<p>For women, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mottchildren.org\/health-library\/tw2462\">risks<\/a> of dismemberment abortions include perforation of the uterine wall, injury to the uterine lining or cervix, infection, uterine rupture, blood clots, and even the possibility that parts of their deceased and dismembered children will be left in their uterus. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2012\/07\/23\/woman-dies-after-second-trimester-abortion-at-planned-parenthood\/\">Women have died<\/a> as a result of botched D&amp;E abortions.<\/p>\n<p>The new law states that any abortionist or doctor who violates it is &#8220;guilty of dismemberment feticide, a felony of the fourth degree.&#8221; The mother, any employees of the abortionist, or any pharmacist involved will not be considered guilty of dismemberment feticide.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ohioans can sleep easier tonight, knowing that the horrendous practice of dismemberment abortions is behind us,&#8221; said Mike Gonidakis, president of Ohio Right to Life.<\/p>\n<p>Also on Friday, Kasich\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/ohio-kasich-vetoes-heartbeat-bill\/\">vetoed<\/a> the Ohio heartbeat bill, which would have banned abortions in Ohio once a fetal heartbeat is detected.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ohio Governor John Kasich signed legislation on Friday to ban dilation and evacuation abortion procedures, more commonly known as D&amp;E or dismemberment abortions.
