Miscarriage can be one of the most difficult things for a parent to have to endure, and it’s even harder the further along in the pregnancy the baby has come. For many parents, losing their preborn child causes grief — as the loss causes them to realize that the child in the womb is, in fact, a human being — and anger, as they realize also that ending lives in the womb through elective\u00a0abortion<\/a>\u00a0is legal. The humanity of miscarried children completely disproves the common claim from abortion advocates that preborn babies are nothing more than “clumps of tissue” or “products of conception.”<\/p>\n

Mom Melissa Faulkiner recently spoke out on Facebook<\/a> about her experience with a late miscarriage. Her son, Rylan, was born at 15 weeks at the beginning of the month, and she and her husband wanted to honor his life. “One thing we learned through this whole process is that if you reach 16 weeks gestation, the baby needs a death certificate, and you have to make funeral\/cremation arrangements,” she wrote. “Rylan was only 15 weeks so we didn\u2019t have to make arrangements, however, we chose to because we didn\u2019t want him to just be tossed in the trash, so we had him cremated.”<\/p>\n
