Courrielche considered himself to be pro-choice before seeing the movie, based on a true story, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/rebuffed-by-hollywood-filmmakers-determined-to-get-controversial-gosnell-ho\">had a difficult time even making it to the big screen<\/a>, thanks to considerable opposition to telling the story:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The Gosnell movie singlehandedly changed my mind on abortion.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Patrick Courrielche ?? (@courrielche) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/courrielche\/status\/1054969656593838083?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 24, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The movie, which was in the top ten during its first week in theaters, is <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/gosnell-movie-abortionist-dropped-theaters\/\">reportedly being dropped by some theaters<\/a>\u00a0where it performed well &#8212; and at times, even those theaters which continue to offer the film have either <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/gosnellmovie\/videos\/352979291912683\/\">refunded tickets without explanation, told patrons that the movie is no longer playing there even though it is<\/a>, etc. But these kinds of attempts at censorship should come as no surprise, as the trial itself was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/politics\/archive\/2013\/04\/14-theories-for-why-kermit-gosnells-case-didnt-get-more-media-attention\/274966\/\">largely ignored by the media<\/a>, until a few brave journalists brought it national attention. Earlier this week, Live Action News <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/woman-gosnell-pro-life-horrors\/\">reported<\/a> that Kathy Zhu, a student and political commentator, stated on Twitter on October 21:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Yesterday, I was pro-choice. I believed that women should have a say &amp; the gov shouldn\u2019t be interfering w\/ our lives. Today, I\u2019m pro-life. After watching #Gosnell &amp; doing in-depth research, I finally understand the horrors of loopholes in late term abortions.<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Yesterday, I was pro-choice. The National Abortion Federation saw Gosnell&#8217;s facility and <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortion-industry-abortionists-gosnell-flourish\/\">chose not to report it<\/a>, despite its filthy and unsafe conditions &#8212; and Gosnell remained a member of NAF.
