Here&#8217;s proof it doesn&#8217;t."},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Planned Parenthood has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthoodaction.org\/pressroom\/groups-launch-six-state-we-believe-survivors-actions\">launched<\/a> a new campaign, aimed at taking advantage of a potential scandal brewing around Judge Brett Kavanaugh, who was chosen by President Trump as a Supreme Court nominee to replace Justice Kennedy. A woman, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, came forward alleging that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in high school, and she has been invited to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee, which Kavanaugh has said he welcomes. For her part, Ford says she wants an FBI investigation into the alleged incident from 30 years ago before she will testify.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The public is watching. Senators, make no mistake: the blatant disrespect of a sexual assault survivor will not go unnoticed. We <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BelieveChristine?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BelieveChristine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Planned Parenthood Action (@PPact) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PPact\/status\/1042209143665434625?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 19, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, in response, Planned Parenthood joined with other pro-abortion groups in a show of &#8220;support&#8221; for survivors of rape and sexual assault. The multi-state effort, which will take place in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Indiana, Nevada, and West Virginia, is titled &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthoodaction.org\/pressroom\/groups-launch-six-state-we-believe-survivors-actions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">We Believe Survivors<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-covering-sexual-abuse\/\">READ: <em>Planned Parenthood has been covering up child sexual abuse for a decade<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While it may seem that their goal is to better support survivors of sexual assault, in reality, Planned Parenthood has opposed Kavanaugh from the beginning, and their goal has unabashedly been to stop him from being confirmed. Dawn Laguens, the Executive Vice President of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, said in her statement (emphasis added):<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 25px;\"><em>When a survivor bravely shares the story of their assault, we believe and respect them. Survivors around the country are speaking up and taking action. As Dr. Blasey Ford has stood up with her accusations, so have sexual assault survivors across the country with their own stories. <strong>The Senate must listen to her serious and well-documented story and stop Brett Kavanaugh\u2019s nomination<\/strong> \u2014 to let it move forward is to ignore and disrespect Dr. Blasey Ford. Every day, Planned Parenthood health centers are a go-to resource for those who have experienced sexual violence who need counseling, STI testing and treatment, and other health care services. Our providers are often listening ears when our patients have nowhere else to turn. Now, it is time for those in power to listen to women.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This sudden concern for survivors is puzzling (political?), considering that Planned Parenthood has historically not cared a single bit for abuse and assault survivors. Planned Parenthood has repeatedly aided and abetted sexual abusers by refusing to report them to authorities, as Live Action&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/what-we-do\/investigations\/aidingabusers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Aiding Abusers&#8221;<\/a> report showed. This report draws from actual police reports and court documents:<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6R8gtSP3Guk\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The seven-part docuseries showed the systemic cover-up of sexual abuse, including of children, at Planned Parenthood facilities across the country. Victims as young as 12 years old were taken there, where they would have abortions and then &#8212; even in cases in which the victims told Planned Parenthood staff about their abuse &#8212; were returned to their abusers. From recorded cases and testimony from former Planned Parenthood staffers, to exposing their willingness to cover up statutory rape and sex trafficking, the &#8220;Aiding Abusers&#8221; series is a sobering look at how very little the abortion corporation does to help women and children at their most vulnerable.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-report-sexual-abuse\/\">READ: <em>Former Planned Parenthood staff: We were told not to report sexual abuse<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As Live Action President Lila Rose said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/planned-parenthood-ignores-child-sex-abuse-victims-amidst-me-too-times-up-and-proposed-title-x-regulations-demanding-reporting-of-abuse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in a statement<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 25px;\"><em>Despite Planned Parenthood\u2019s public rhetoric as well as laws requiring it to report suspected abuse, its failure to report has been deliberate and widespread. Time and again, rather than reporting abuse to authorities, Planned Parenthood has repeatedly looked the other way and performed abortions on victims as young as 12 years old. These girls deserved advocacy but instead Planned Parenthood staff ignored their abuse and returned them to the waiting arms of their abusers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Now, Planned Parenthood wants to exploit the stories of survivors for the sole purpose of keeping a potentially pro-life justice off the Supreme Court &#8212; essentially, to keep abortion legal, <strong>which would allow it to continue to profit from the sexual assault of women<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood claims it believes survivors.
