In early September, popular Spanish blogger Vanessa Fernandez Arango tragically died following an emergency cesarean section. People magazine reports<\/a> that Arango and her husband, Jonathan Garcia, had gained a following of more than 5,000 on Instagram by sharing their journey to the birth of their newborn son.<\/p>\n

Arango posted excitedly pictures of the positive pregnancy test and her growing bump, along with the struggles that come with pregnancy. The couple\u2019s goal was to encourage other parents facing fertility struggles. On one post, Arango wrote<\/a> about the progressing pregnancy, \u201cSo here begins our story, our story with a happy ending.\u201d\u00a0Things took a tragic turn when Arango fainted at breakfast and was rushed to the hospital to undergo an emergency cesarean section. Arango was 38 weeks pregnant and suffered cardiac arrest following the C-section. According to the Mayo Clinic<\/a>, C-sections have many risks, but serious complications are extremely rare.<\/p>\n

On September 2, Arango\u2019s husband posted on her Instagram account<\/a> telling followers about her tragic and sudden death and writing, \u201cI\u2019m sending this because my wife was very caring, and I think the minimum I can do is say goodbye to her like she would have wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hola, soy el marido de Vanessa, esta madrugada tenia dolores y desayunando se ha desmayado. Nos han trasladado en ambulancia al hospital y alli la han tenido que hacer una cesarea de emergencia. El ni\u00f1o est\u00e1 muy grave en la UCI y mi mujer ha sufrido una parada cardiaca de la que no ha podido salir. Os mando esto porque mi mujer os tenia mucho cari\u00f1o, y creo que lo minimo que puedo hacer es despedirla como a ella le hubiera gustado. Muchas gracias por los animos que le habeis dado y por los gestos de cari\u00f1o hacia los 2. Un abrazo muy fuerte a todos<\/a><\/p>\n
