In an episode of Hulu&#8217;s\u00a0&#8220;I Love You, America,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2018\/09\/07\/abortion-activist-sarah-silverman-were-all-human-except-for-fetuses-according-to-science\/\">Silverman claimed<\/a>: &#8220;We&#8217;re all human, except for fetuses, according to science.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s just one problem with that:\u00a0According to science, fetuses are very human indeed &#8212; from their earliest moments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bHe8YGPGzj4\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>According to the science of embryology:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cHuman life begins at fertilization, the process during which a male gamete or sperm (spermatozoon) unites with a female gamete or oocyte (ovum) to form a single cell called a zygote. This highly specialized, totipotent cell marked the beginning of each of us as a unique individual.\u201d \u201cA zygote is the beginning of a new human being (i.e., an embryo).\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Keith L. Philadelphia, PA: Saunders, 2003. pp. 16, 2.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn that fraction of a second when the chromosomes form pairs, the sex of the\u00a0new child will be determined, hereditary characteristics received from each\u00a0parent will be set, and a new life will have begun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Kaluger, G., and Kaluger, M., Human Development: The Span of Life, page 28-29, The C.V. Mosby Co., St. Louis, 1974.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Notably, a zygote and an embryo are at even earlier stages of life than a fetus is. And yet science clearly knows that each person&#8217;s humanity starts with his or her fertilization &#8212; not at birth.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/40-quotes-from-medical-experts-that-prove-human-life-begins-at-conception\/\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">READ:<em> 40 quotes from medical experts and textbooks that prove human life begins at fertilization<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In this episode, Silverman was having a conversation with infamous abortionist, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/notorious-abortionist-willie-parker-abortion-ends-life\/\">Willie Parker<\/a>, about how pro-life advocates are supposedly incorrect. Parker recently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.courant.com\/entertainment\/arts-theater\/hc-fea-jodi-picoult-hartford-20180905-story.html\">made the news<\/a> for &#8220;helping&#8221; novelist Jodie Picoult &#8220;understand&#8221; that working to limit abortion among Black women is actually racist. You have to read it to believe it:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Dr. Willie Parker&#8230;helped Picoult understand what many might consider a shocking belief&#8230;: that abortion foes do what they do to \u201cmake America white again.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>\u201cWhen you go into the South the one thing they do is put up billboards about black babies. They say, \u2018This could be the next Obama.\u2019 They are pro-life billboards trying to encourage black women to not have abortions,\u201d says Picoult, a resident of New Hampshire.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>\u201c[Parker] pieced this together. The only person who can have a white baby is a white woman. The only way to make more white people is to have more white babies. If you can appeal to black women and get them to be anti-abortion, you are going to restrict abortion for black women but more importantly you will also restrict abortion for white women. So you are getting what you want, more white babies.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Combine Parker&#8217;s illogical and inexplicable assertions with Silverman&#8217;s failure to rely on actual scientific fact, and you have a perfect example of what the abortion movement in America has become: a frantic attempt to preserve injustice at all costs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sarah Silverman &#8212; a comedian known for her outlandish and offensive statements &#8212; recently claimed that she knows more science than, well, science itself.
