The spin and propaganda regularly disseminated about its abortion business is so pervasive that the truth is often overlooked. Here are some facts, backed up by documented evidence:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Women do not need Planned Parenthood for <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/guttmacher-report-women-dont-need-planned-parenthood-contraception\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/guttmacher-report-women-dont-need-planned-parenthood-contraception\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1535650683098000&amp;usg=AFQjCNG--QlGlE9KV1ZGLi8RPU9v1EEMWQ\">contraceptive services<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood&#8217;s patients <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/prenatal-care-cancer-screenings-decrease-planned-parenthood-loses-100000-patients\/\">have been declining<\/a>\u00a0by hundreds of thousands.<\/li>\n<li>Services at Planned Parenthood <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=yJeLTE7aG78\">have decreased<\/a>, despite an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/if-planned-parenthood-not-abortion-why-more-than-a-third-in-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/if-planned-parenthood-not-abortion-why-more-than-a-third-in-us\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1535650683098000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHDbZCMJqePeagoIjbGU6rFwZAzxw\">increase<\/a>\u00a0in abortions and government funding.<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood\u2019s claim that abortion is only 3% of its services <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qtgqxvaV-8U\">is a lie<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Funding Planned Parenthood <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-taxpayer-title-x-fund-abortion\/\">means funding abortion<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/half-planned-parenthood-funding-abortion\/\">More than half<\/a> of Planned Parenthood\u2019s non-government funding is from abortion.<\/li>\n<li>Abortion is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=acb1KUESU6M\">primary service<\/a> that taxpayer-funded Planned Parenthood\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q7YPUDcMBDE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v%3DQ7YPUDcMBDE&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1535650683098000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGxxN9R1BCexwfBhzQpBxQRw3cnhQ\">offers<\/a>\u00a0pregnant women.<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=mkxUAR3a_Jc\">has abortion quotas<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/how-abortion-chain-planned-parenthood-masquerades-as-a-health-care-provider\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">masquerades <\/a>as a &#8220;health care&#8221; agency, but it is a <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-prez-political-organizer-not-health-care-expert\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">political organization<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And this\u00a0political organization, like most, works to bring in dollars for political causes. A recent Live Action News\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-supporters-healthcare-plummets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">analysis<\/a>\u00a0showed that the abortion giant&#8217;s goal has long been to ramp up its political activities, with former CEO Cecile Richards stating her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/meet-the-press\/video\/should-planned-parenthood-be-in-the-politics-business-537579587685\">she wanted to make it<\/a> &#8220;the largest kick butt political organization.&#8221; Richards has a background in political organizing &#8212; not in health care.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-harvests-body-parts-babies-lying-women-fetal-development\/\">READ: <em>Planned Parenthood lies to women about fetal development while harvesting fetal body parts<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But beyond this, the abortion corporation has a long list of <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/100-abuses-planned-parenthood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abuses<\/a>. data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/audits-show-planned-parenthood-non-compliant-with-federal-discount-drug-program\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1535650683098000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHpH3cXVYl-wZRoRn2qH3mLbwa0Yg\">cited<\/a>\u00a0for href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tu_0-iD-rPk\">does not provide mammograms<\/a>, despite claiming that it did.<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Byb6ibQb4Nc\">misinforms women<\/a> about the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Byb6ibQb4Nc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" their preborn babies.<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/abortioncorporation\/\">poor standard of care<\/a> for its clients, with former managers accusing them of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0PUFJwiHlJM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" for abortions.<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-failed-report-child-sexual-abuse-decades-part-one\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" the organization losing millions of taxpayer\u00a0dollars granted to it\u00a0under the federal Title X Family Planning Program).<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood&#8217;s sex \u201ceducation\u201d for teens <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/5-scandalous-moments-from-live-actions-planned-parenthood-sexed-investigation\/\">promotes<\/a> BDSM and other disturbing sexual practices.<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood PACs and their appointed overseers have been <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-cited-campaign-violations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cited<\/a>\u00a0by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) for multiple campaign donation violations.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/sues-planned-parenthood-discrimination\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Planned Parenthood staffers<\/a> have accused the organization of discrimination, and <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/child-porn-harassment-rape-planned-parenthood-haven-sex-offenders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">former staffers<\/a> have been tied to sexual abuse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The list above does not include the number of women injured or killed after using the organization\u2019s alleged \u201cservices.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The organization uses its political clout\u00a0to gain supporters to fuel their agenda. Its own reports reveal:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Its \u201csupporters\u201d reportedly grew by 300 percent,\u00a0<strong>increasing<\/strong>\u00a0from 3 million in 2005 to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cecilerichards\/status\/991038333848563714\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">12 million<\/a>\u00a0by 2018.<\/li>\n<li>Private donations\u00a0<strong>increased<\/strong>\u00a0nearly 106 percent, from $258.7 million in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/liveaction.org\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/2006-2007-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to $532.7 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/71\/53\/7153464c-8f5d-4a26-bead-2a0dfe2b32ec\/20171229_ar16-17_p01_lowres.pdf\">2016.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Government funding\u00a0<strong>increased<\/strong>\u00a0over 61 percent, from $336.7 million in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/liveaction.org\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/2006-2007-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to $543.7 million in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/71\/53\/7153464c-8f5d-4a26-bead-2a0dfe2b32ec\/20171229_ar16-17_p01_lowres.pdf\">2016<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2007-2008-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0336,614 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/71\/53\/7153464c-8f5d-4a26-bead-2a0dfe2b32ec\/20171229_ar16-17_p01_lowres.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2016<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Pap tests\u00a0<strong>decreased<\/strong>\u00a0nearly 74 percent (1,070,449 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2007-2008-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0281,063 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/71\/53\/7153464c-8f5d-4a26-bead-2a0dfe2b32ec\/20171229_ar16-17_p01_lowres.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2016<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Cancer screenings\u00a0<strong>plummeted<\/strong>\u00a067 percent\u00a0(2,007,371 in\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener\">2016)<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Contraception services\u00a0<strong>dropped<\/strong>\u00a0by over 32 percent (3,989,474 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2007-2008-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to 2,701,866 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/71\/53\/7153464c-8f5d-4a26-bead-2a0dfe2b32ec\/20171229_ar16-17_p01_lowres.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2016<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>The organization\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-2016-women-dont-need\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">overall services<\/a>\u00a0<strong>decreased<\/strong>\u00a0nearly 10 percent (<a href=\"https:\/\/liveaction.org\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/2006-2007-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/71\/53\/7153464c-8f5d-4a26-bead-2a0dfe2b32ec\/20171229_ar16-17_p01_lowres.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2016<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>The organization\u00a0<strong>shuttered<\/strong>\u00a0more than\u00a0280 facilities (<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2007-2008-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2007<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/about-us\/who-we-are\/planned-parenthood-at-a-glance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2017)<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood\u00a0<strong>lost<\/strong>\u00a0over 700,000 patients,\u00a0<strong>dropping<\/strong>\u00a0nearly 23 percent (3.1 million in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2006-2007-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to 2.4 million in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-2016-women-dont-need\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2016<\/a>.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And in just\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-2016-women-dont-need\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the past few years<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The percentage of the organization\u2019s contraceptive services <strong>declined<\/strong> from 34 percent in January of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/files\/9313\/9611\/7194\/Planned_Parenthood_By_The_Numbers.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2014<\/a>\u00a0to 28 percent in January of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/27\/8a\/278af3a4-8b4c-4289-bfe6-52ee2c3c048a\/pp_by_the_numbers_2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The estimated number of unintended pregnancies averted by contraceptive services each year <strong>dropped<\/strong> 22.33 percent, from 515,000 in January of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/files\/9313\/9611\/7194\/Planned_Parenthood_By_The_Numbers.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2014<\/a>\u00a0to 400,000 in January the organization&#8217;s own\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortions-drop-20-percent-10-years\/\">figures,<\/a>\u00a0its abortion market share has increased while the nation&#8217;s overall\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/half-planned-parenthoods-non-government-services-revenue-comes-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">profitable<\/a>\u00a0abortions are on a <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/while-abortions-decreasing-nationally-planned-parenthood-market-share-continues-rise\/\">steady decline<\/a>.
