But behind the scenes, a real-life drama with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/33873\/exclusive-gosnell-actress-discusses-moment-she-christian-toto\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a much happier ending<\/a>\u00a0unfolded.\u00a0Actress Tessya Whatley is playing Viola Brown in the movie, a young woman who is considering having an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abortionprocedures.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abortion<\/a> at Gosnell&#8217;s facility, but decides to choose life instead. It echoes her real-life story, in which Whatley found herself facing an unplanned pregnancy:<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/etYcWRy1e7Q\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Whatley discovered she was pregnant, and at first, she planned to have an abortion. But then, the nurse did something unexpected: she played the heartbeat for Whatley to hear as she lay on the surgical table. \u201cI just started crying and decided it was something I couldn\u2019t do, I couldn\u2019t kill my baby,\u201d she said. \u201cSo I put my clothes on, I went out to my grandpa, I told him I couldn\u2019t do it; he said, \u2018let\u2019s go.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Her son is now six years old, and the decision she almost made still haunts her. &#8220;My son has been so much joy to me. When I look at him, I just can&#8217;t believe I was going to kill somebody so precious.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The film will be released in a few months after a historic crowdfunding campaign, and will star movie and television star Dean Cain. It will be a necessary tool to show moviegoers across the country just how horrific Gosnell&#8217;s crimes were &#8212; especially considering the pro-abortion media <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/politics\/archive\/2013\/04\/14-theories-for-why-kermit-gosnells-case-didnt-get-more-media-attention\/274966\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">virtually ignored<\/a> the case, with one reporter even derisively referring to it as a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sarahkliff\/status\/322425857635405824\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;local crime story.&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0In reality, it was a huge story that should have been nationwide news.<\/p>\n<p>Kermit Gosnell had been practicing for decades, and he not only murdered babies, but left butchered women in his wake. When authorities finally chose to act, Gosnell was arrested, and eventually convicted of the murders of three infants, as well as of the involuntary manslaughter of one of his patients who received a drug overdose and died. But while he was only charged with three murders, it is believed that he murdered many, many more infants. Most disturbingly, local officials knew that there were problems with Gosnell&#8217;s abortion facility, and <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/3801-lancaster-inside-gosnells-house-of-horrors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">looked the other way<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-127971\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/gosnell-1.jpg\" alt=\"Gosnell\" width=\"449\" height=\"290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/gosnell-1.jpg 625w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/gosnell-1-300x194.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/gosnell-1-500x323.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 449px) 100vw, 449px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Gosnell&#8217;s facility had violations dating as far back as 1989. Multiple women suffered injuries and even death due to botched abortions. Flea-infested cats were permitted to roam the facility, and Gosnell allowed unlicensed workers to give anesthesia to women. Officials even knew that the bodies of aborted babies were being kept in paper bags, and received tips that Gosnell was committing abortions after 30 weeks, which is illegal in Pennsylvania, but took no action. It wasn&#8217;t until the FBI raided Gosnell&#8217;s facility in 2010 that he was finally stopped. There was blood splattered throughout the facility, cat feces on the floor, and it stank of urine. Dozen of corpses of aborted babies were found frozen in the facility&#8217;s freezer, and severed feet were displayed in jars.<\/p>\n<p>Understandably, working in such conditions and witnessing such atrocities had a negative effect on the people working there, as former Gosnell staffer <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/gosnell-abortion-worker-baby-name\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adrienne Moton recounted<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 25px;\"><em>[Gosnell] performed a procedure of a 29.4 weeker, and um, I haven\u2019t been the same since. I had to, uh\u2026 He [the baby] was on my station, and\u2026 I remember praying over him. I covered him. I had to put him out of my sight until the doctor came in.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>&#8230; I gave him a name. To me, he would have been a linebacker\u2026 and I named him Jacob or Jason\u2026 it was a \u201cJ\u201d name. And um, I just felt that I needed to get some type of justice for him.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sadly, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/gosnell-not-alone-need-investigations-stricter-regulations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gosnell is not an outlier<\/a> in the abortion industry.
