Mark Walker: Investigate Planned Parenthood&#8217;s sex abuse cover-up"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Congressman Mark Walker (R-NC), Chairman of the Republican Study Committee, joined Live Action president Lila Rose and additional members of Congress in a <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/investigate-planned-parenthood-sexual-abuse\/\">press conference<\/a> Thursday, June 7, 2018, to expose Planned Parenthood&#8217;s decades-long cover-up of sexual abuse.\u00a0Live Action&#8217;s new seven-part docuseries, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/investigative-report-planned-parenthood-complicity\/\">Aiding Abusers<\/a>, exposes Planned Parenthood&#8217;s systemic cover-up of sex abuse including the aiding of sex traffickers.<\/p>\n<p>Walker, who applauded President Trump&#8217;s Protect Life Rule to Title X funding, said that while it is astonishing that Planned Parenthood would cover up sex abuse he did not actually find it surprising. The <a href=\"https:\/\/black.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/trump-administration-issues-new-title-x-rules-protecting-life\">Protect Life Rule<\/a> would end Title X family planning funding for groups that commit, support or refer for abortion.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Seems that Planned Parenthood, according to reports, has broken the law,&#8221; he said during the press conference. &#8220;There should be a full investigation into whether Planned Parenthood willfully turned over child victims of abuse back to their abuser and, if necessary, criminal prosecution. [&#8230;] This isn&#8217;t\u00a0about politics.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fliveaction%2Fvideos%2F10156372078038728%2F&amp;show_text=0&amp;width=267\" width=\"267\" height=\"476\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Walker&#8217;s wife is a nurse practitioner\u00a0who is trained in\u00a0recognizing and responding to suspected\u00a0sexual abuse in patients who\u00a0is called on even during the night to\u00a0assist with victims.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In hospitals and ERs and level one trauma centers, when such abuse has taken place, they are required by law,&#8221; said Walker. &#8220;They do ask the questions. Which makes me ask the question, &#8216;Are these lives not important to\u00a0Planned Parenthood?
