The University of California-San Francisco — a state taxpayer-funded university — is a busy bee when it comes to not just promoting the idea of abortion, but making sure that more of it happens, by training abortionists. According to Campus Reform<\/a>, The UCSF Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health on campus is involved with “pioneering new methods of abortion<\/a>, expanding the\u00a0ranks of doctors specializing in abortion<\/a>, and\u00a0bolstering awareness<\/a> of the positive impact of abortion on women\u2019s lives.” Along with this, the Bixby Center…<\/p>\n

… boasts<\/a> of its work leading to a change in California law that allows physician assistants and nurse practitioners to perform early abortions,\u00a0which<\/a> typically refers to abortions performed up to nine weeks after the start of a pregnancy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The UCSF Bixby Center is a financial supporter<\/a> of the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute and has been behind questionable studies<\/a> paid for by hefty, philanthropic pro-abortion donors. One online research paper<\/a> on population control quotes author Donald Critchlow as writing in his book, “Intended Consequences,” that “Today\u2019s philanthropists have a genuine belief that they can solve this world\u2019s problems—- whether these be war, pollution, poverty or disease simply through population control\u2014something like controlling the world population is a common ambition for them all.”<\/p>\n

UCSF’s Fellowship in Family Planning\u00a0pays fellows approximately $65,000 annually, along with “the ability to earn a fully-funded Masters degree and obtain additional funding for research, travel, and continuing education” and “post-fellowship assistance with job placement and salary support for two years post-fellowship” which are “standard.” Quite tempting. Campus Reform further writes:<\/p>\n

Each fellow will be assigned to work at one of 30 colleges, where they will gain training in \u201call methods of pregnancy termination,\u201d as well as \u201canesthesia and pain control\u201d and \u201ctreatment of complications.\u201d<\/p>\n

Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Utah are among the institutions that have\u00a0agreed<\/a> to host a fellow thus far….<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, what will these fellows be learning as part of their training, promoted across the United States by a public university? For one, they’ll be learning how to convince women to have abortions, regardless of their reservations.<\/p>\n
