The latest release in Live Action’s\u00a0seven part docuseries,\u00a0Aiding Abusers<\/a>, demonstrates\u00a0that, as far back as ten years ago, Planned Parenthood was covering-up child sexual abuse. This\u00a0systemic child sexual abuse cover-up at Planned Parenthood, an organization receiving millions in tax dollars through federal\u00a0Title X family planning programs<\/a>, often results\u00a0in sexual abuse victims being returned to their abusers for additional days, weeks, and even years of abuse. At a time when just about every industry has been held to task for their years of silence and complicity in covering up the sexual abuse of countless victims, it is past time for an honest look at Planned Parenthood.<\/span><\/p>\n

Live Action founder and president Lila Rose stated in a\u00a0press release<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Despite Planned Parenthood\u2019s public rhetoric as well as laws requiring it to report suspected abuse, its failure to report has been deliberate and widespread. Time and again, rather than reporting abuse to authorities, Planned Parenthood has repeatedly looked the other way and performed abortions on victims as young as 12 years old. These girls deserved advocacy but instead Planned Parenthood staff ignored their abuse and returned them to the waiting arms of their abusers.<\/p>\n

Because of flagrant violations like these, the proposed Title X rule tightening on reporting abuse is absolutely necessary. Planned Parenthood has proven that its priority is selling abortions, not caring for the most vulnerable of girls. Planned Parenthood\u2019s culture of cover-up must end, the cycle of abuse of innocent children must end, and Planned Parenthood\u2019s half a billion dollars in annual federal funding must end. Taxpayers cannot be forced to subsidize these abuses of children.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In the Statutory Rape<\/strong> Investigation\u00a0video<\/a>\u00a0of the\u00a0Aiding Abusers<\/a>\u00a0docuseries, Rose asks:<\/p>\n

\u201cHow is it that sexual abuse of multiple victims can continue within an institution for years, sometimes decades?<\/p>\n

\u201cWe get some answers from the case of Larry Nassar the US Gymnastics coach who was accused of molesting at least two hundred and fifty young girls, dating as far back as 1992. People heard about the abuse, they knew about the abuse, but they did nothing.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Former gymnast Rachael Denhollander,\u00a0<\/em>one of Nassar’s sexual abuse victims, told the court, “Larry Nassar did not arise in isolation. Rather, we saw the worst sexual assault scandal in history unfold because a predator was left in power for decades, despite warning signs, despite red flags, direct reports of assaults.”<\/p>\n

Similar red flags, warning signs and reports exist where Planned Parenthood is concerned, and tragically, the organization’s complicity has also enabled sexual predators to remain in power and continue to use its services to cover predators’ crimes.<\/p>\n

In 2008, Live Action investigators\u00a0found out<\/a>\u00a0first hand how Planned Parenthood views victims of sexual abuse. Time and again, Live Action\u2019s investigators, posing as 13- to 15-year-old girls with boyfriends as old as 31, were instead told how to protect their abusers. Just as in the Nassar case, the predator remained in control.<\/p>\n

In this edition<\/a> of the Aiding Abusers docuseries, Live Action will demonstrate how Planned Parenthood was covering-up child sexual abuse ten years ago, just as they are today.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur investigation found eight Planned Parenthood facilities in six different states that were willing to cover-up sexual abuse including, disregarding mandatory reporting laws of suspected statutory rape,\u201d Lila Rose states.<\/p>\n
