In the public domain, this abortion corporation\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/how-abortion-chain-planned-parenthood-masquerades-as-a-health-care-provider\/\">masquerades<\/a>\u00a0as a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthoods-health-care-reinvention-plan-failed\/\">healthcare organization<\/a>;\u00a0yet, 12 years ago, Planned Parenthood hired CEO Cecile Richards, a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-prez-political-organizer-not-health-care-expert\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">political organizer<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-prez-political-organizer-not-health-care-expert\/\">zero healthcare experience<\/a>. In fact,\u00a0during her tenure with the abortion corporation, Richards <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cecilerichards\/status\/991038333848563714\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bragged<\/a> that &#8220;supporters&#8221; have more than quadrupled, while Planned Parenthood&#8217;s own reports <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-2016-women-dont-need\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">show<\/a> that patients and services have plummeted. However, figures published in its own reports and figures mentioned in the above tweet reveal:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Supporters&#8221; reportedly grew by 300 percent, <strong>increasing<\/strong> from 3 million in 2005 to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cecilerichards\/status\/991038333848563714\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">12 million<\/a>\u00a0by 2018.<\/li>\n<li>Private donations to Planned Parenthood <strong>increased<\/strong> nearly 106 percent from $258.7 million in <a href=\"https:\/\/liveaction.org\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/2006-2007-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to $532.7 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/71\/53\/7153464c-8f5d-4a26-bead-2a0dfe2b32ec\/20171229_ar16-17_p01_lowres.pdf\">2016.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Government funding <strong>increased<\/strong> over 61 percent, from $336.7 million in <a href=\"https:\/\/liveaction.org\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/2006-2007-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to $543.7 million in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/71\/53\/7153464c-8f5d-4a26-bead-2a0dfe2b32ec\/20171229_ar16-17_p01_lowres.pdf\">2016<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2007-2008-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0336,614 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/71\/53\/7153464c-8f5d-4a26-bead-2a0dfe2b32ec\/20171229_ar16-17_p01_lowres.pdf\">2016<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Pap tests\u00a0<strong>decreased<\/strong> nearly 74 percent (1,070,449 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2007-2008-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0281,063 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/71\/53\/7153464c-8f5d-4a26-bead-2a0dfe2b32ec\/20171229_ar16-17_p01_lowres.pdf\">2016<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Cancer screenings\u00a0<strong>plummeted<\/strong> 67 percent\u00a0(2,007,371 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2007-2008-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0660,777 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/71\/53\/7153464c-8f5d-4a26-bead-2a0dfe2b32ec\/20171229_ar16-17_p01_lowres.pdf\">2016)<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Contraception services <strong>dropped<\/strong> by over 32 percent (3,989,474 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2007-2008-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to 2,701,866 in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/71\/53\/7153464c-8f5d-4a26-bead-2a0dfe2b32ec\/20171229_ar16-17_p01_lowres.pdf\">2016<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>The organization\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-2016-women-dont-need\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">overall services<\/a> <strong>decreased<\/strong> nearly 10 percent (<a href=\"https:\/\/liveaction.org\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/2006-2007-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/71\/53\/7153464c-8f5d-4a26-bead-2a0dfe2b32ec\/20171229_ar16-17_p01_lowres.pdf\">2016<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>The organization <strong>shuttered<\/strong> more than\u00a0280 facilities (<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2007-2008-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\">2007<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/about-us\/who-we-are\/planned-parenthood-at-a-glance\">2017)<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Planned Parenthood\u00a0<strong>lost<\/strong> over 700,000 patients, <strong>dropping<\/strong> nearly 23 percent (3.1 million in <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2006-2007-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\">2006<\/a>\u00a0to 2.4 million in <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-2016-women-dont-need\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2016<\/a>.)<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-2016-women-dont-need\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-zp4rJW1tFY\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In addition, (between <a href=\"https:\/\/liveaction.org\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/2006-2007-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\">2006<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/71\/53\/7153464c-8f5d-4a26-bead-2a0dfe2b32ec\/20171229_ar16-17_p01_lowres.pdf\">2016<\/a>) abortions increased nearly 11 percent, averaging more than 320,000 abortions per year, despite the fact that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortions-drop-20-percent-10-years\/\">figures<\/a>\u00a0indicate abortions are on a steady decline nationally,\u00a0as Live Action News has <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/while-abortions-decreasing-nationally-planned-parenthood-market-share-continues-rise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previously<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>The numbers speak for themselves. The real reason Planned Parenthood exists is to provide abortion on demand for any reason &#8212; but aside from this, it works to bring in dollars for political causes. In 2008, you were quoted as saying \u2014 when you wanted to ramp up Planned Parenthood\u2019s political activities, you said \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-aim-largest-kick-butt-political-organization\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">quote<\/a>, \u2018The largest kick butt political organization\u2019 is what you were going to\u2026 going to grow.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>More recently, in May of 2018, Planned Parenthood spokesperson\u00a0Dawn Laguens\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.popsugar.com\/news\/Who-Replace-Cecile-Richards-Planned-Parenthood-44813865\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> PopSugar.com, &#8220;On the political side, Planned Parenthood Action Fund is mobilizing our biggest civic engagement program ever, to make sure people know what&#8217;s on the line, who&#8217;s on their side, and who is not.&#8221; As\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2018\/05\/07\/politics\/planned-parenthood-power-of-pink-training\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2018\/05\/07\/politics\/planned-parenthood-power-of-pink-training\/index.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1525889987399000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEZAH89zBHo3VctqGf57iBv3EY-sQ\">CNN<\/a>\u00a0notes, it is getting ready for &#8220;its largest volunteer training event ever&#8221;:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"m_1405630518216882739gmail-zn-body__paragraph m_1405630518216882739gmail-speakable\">Kelley Robinson, the National Organizing Director at Planned Parenthood Action Fund, said the July training event, called The Power of Pink, will bring together 3,000 activists and leaders in Detroit and give them various resources for going back into their communities to then build upon the organization&#8217;s network.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Nationally, Planned Parenthood has two political arms: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/committee\/C00489799\/?tab=summary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Planned Parenthood Votes<\/a> and Planned Parenthood Action Fund.\u00a0As you can see from this image taken from PPFA&#8217;s most recent <a Cecile Richards&#8217; husband, Kirk Adams,\u00a0has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/research\/stocks\/private\/person.asp?personId=269676906&amp;privcapId=50279638&amp;previousCapId=50279638&amp;previousTitle=Catalist%20LLC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">held<\/a> several leadership positions at this powerful union.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/capitalresearch.org\/article\/inside-the-seiu-funding-the-left\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Capital Research Center<\/a>, the SEIU is also a major funder of left-wing organizations:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>According to the Center for Responsive Politics, the SEIU is the largest funder of political action committees (PACs) in the U.S. In total the union has spent over $270 million on federal politics, almost exclusively on behalf of PACs supporting Democrats and progressive causes.
