Abortion is legal and it is heralded as safe — but for Jaime Lee Morales,\u00a0who died<\/a> at age 30 from her 23-week abortion, it was the opposite. She died on July 9, 2016 in Queens, New York. Now, nearly two years later, a jury will decide the fate of the late-term abortionist who not only ended the life of her preborn child, but who is charged with causing Morales’ death as well.<\/p>\n

The manslaughter trial for Robert Rho began in April, with almost zero media presence or coverage. The 2013 trial of convicted murderer and late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell<\/a> began in a similar way. After 18 days of trial<\/a>, the jury is deliberating if Rho is to be found guilty of second degree manslaughter. If so, he could face 15 years in prison.<\/p>\n

Live Action News recently published Nancy Flanders’ explanation of disturbing aspects of the case<\/a>, which involved a disturbing video of Morales. Her condition and death would be consistent with the negligence and lack of care from Rho, including questionable techniques for the abortion process used on Morales; failing to check Morales’ vitals after she fell and hit her head following the procedure; and concerns over anesthesia being properly administered.<\/p>\n

Late-term abortionist Rho was\u00a0not<\/em> a licensed anesthesiologist, nor did he employ one, nor did he administer any sedative while he committed a second procedure<\/a> on Morales. Instead, he instructed his staff to hold her down for the procedure. Morales had already been hemorrhaging from the first procedure, which resulted in a nicked cervix and damaged artery. He then stitched her cervix shut, making it appear that the bleeding had stopped, but instead, it began to fill her abdomen.<\/p>\n
