(The Radiance Foundation<\/a>) What would you do if you found out an American business was killing defenseless black lives for profit? What would you do if you found out this business located 79%<\/a> of its killing centers, disproportionately, in black neighborhoods? What would you do if you found out that the majority of its advertising appeared in poorer African-American neighborhoods, just as the alcohol and tobacco<\/a> industries have done for decades? What would you do if that same business declared<\/a> that black mothers are safer if they have their children killed rather than birth them?<\/p>\n

That business is Planned Parenthood. For over 100 years, it has worked hard to make black people history. It failed to do so with its original Negro Project<\/a>, promoting the lie that birth control would eliminate poverty. Many leaders in the black community knew racism when they saw it. Fannie Lou Hamer<\/a> knew it. The voting rights and anti-poverty activist, who was \u201csick and tired of being sick and tired\u201d, fought against Planned Parenthood. Hamer was a prolife adoptive mother who had been forcibly sterilized in 1961 in Mississippi. She understood freedom was not in a birth control pill or in the forceps of an abortionist. From her speech \u201cAmerica is a Sick Place and Man is on the Critical List\u201d<\/a>, she summed up her feelings about eugenics: \u201cSo we got all kinds of children, and I\u2019ll tell you the next thing that I don\u2019t buy, I don\u2019t buy distributing [the] birth control pill and legalizing abortion, because they\u2019re talking about us! If you want to abortionize somebody, do it to yourself because I\u2019m going to try to keep the children.\u201d<\/p>\n

Efforts to severely reduce or eliminate births in poorer black communities was the goal of the American Eugenics movement, led by the most prominent eugenicist\u2014Margaret Sanger<\/a>. In a day and age when liberals are triggered by historical statues and what those figures represented, they\u2019re conveniently selective in their outrage. Sanger advocated forced sterilizations, said birth control was the \u201cprocess of weeding out the unfit, of preventing the birth of defectives or of those who will become defective\u201d, and launched the world\u2019s most powerful population control business that practices an even more violent form of eugenics, today, than in her time. Even Sanger, in her typical duplicitous way, denounced abortion.<\/p>\n

So, which Margaret Sanger does Planned Parenthood\u2014the leader killer of black lives\u2014celebrate<\/a>? The birth control crusader who believed she was ridding the world of \u201cdefectives\u201d? The racist who boasted of keynoting a Ku Klux Klan<\/a> rally about the \u201cbenefits\u201d of birth control? The elitist who used her oil tycoon husband\u2019s<\/a> wealth (so much for patriarchy) to push her eugenics agenda? Or the hypocrite who declared in her Birth Control Review<\/a>\u00a0publication that \u201cwhile there are cases where even the law recognized an abortion as justifiable if recommended by a physician, I assert that the hundreds of thousands of abortions performed in America each year are a disgrace to civilization\u201d?<\/p>\n

And now, over 50 years after Sanger\u2019s death, her legacy has caused a grim reality for the black community in NYC\u2014the birthplace of Planned Parenthood. More black babies are aborted than born alive. For every 1,000 born alive there are 1,039 aborted<\/a> (it was 1,101<\/a><\/strong> the previous year). No other demographic even comes close to this destruction (484 Hispanic babies aborted and 233 white babies aborted for every 1,000 born alive). The black community is the only<\/em> demographic where there are more induced deaths than births, and yet this is called \u201creproductive justice\u201d! When did a health disparity that resulted in 2.1-4.5 times more deaths become something worth celebrating? It\u2019s reproductive injustice<\/em> and pro-abortion liberals, including LGBT orgs<\/a> and #BlackLivesMatter<\/a> leaders, all hail this violent discrimination of abortion as \u201cequality\u201d. How can black lives matter\u2014or lives of any hue matter\u2014when the most defenseless among them are destroyed as a form of someone else\u2019s broken concept of \u201cfreedom\u201d?<\/p>\n

It would be humorous if it weren\u2019t so tragic that \u201creproductive justice\u201d activists are calling for<\/a> a black \u201cfeminist\u201d woman to be the next President of Planned Parenthood (some seem to have forgotten about Faye Wattleton<\/a>). You know, because that would make Planned Parenthood less<\/em> racist\u2026just like Jews serving on NAZI Germany\u2019s \u201cJewish Councils\u201d (or Judenr\u00e4te) <\/em>made the Holocaust less anti-Semitic, right? The controversial Judenrat<\/a> was responsible, in part, for \u201corganizing the orderly deportation to the death camps\u201d. Today\u2019s Negro Project 2.0 includes influential African-American politicians, pastors and celebrities who assist in organizing the daily flow of black mothers into Planned Parenthood\u2019s death centers. Keep in mind, Planned Parenthood was spawned by the very same vile pseudoscience<\/a> as the Holocaust. Black owners of slaves<\/a> in America didn\u2019t make slavery less racist; so let\u2019s disabuse anyone of the notion that skin color or gender motivate people to do what\u2019s best for those with the same skin color or gender.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s why The Radiance Foundation<\/a> joined with a coalition of pro-life leaders, local pastors and grassroots activists (even including representatives from the National Action Network and the NAACP!) in Cleveland, Ohio to respond to the state\u2019s largest abortion facility\u2019s racially-targeted billboard campaign. Preterm placed 9 out of 16 of its abortion-selling billboards in neighborhoods that are 75% or more African-American declaring nonsense like \u201cAbortion is sacred\u201d, \u201cAbortion is gender equality\u201d, \u201cAbortion is a blessing\u201d, \u201cAbortion is a family value\u201d and \u201cAbortion is safer than childbirth<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n

A coalition of black and white, Left and Right, responded with 11 billboards that stated the truth about WhatAbortionReallyIs.com<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. Abortion is systemic racism. Abortion is violence. Abortion is fake feminism. Abortion is lost fatherhood. Abortion is regret. Abortion is population control.<\/p>\n

Whether it\u2019s Black History Month or not\u2014you can\u2019t make history if you\u2019re never born. It\u2019s really that <\/em>simple.<\/p>\n

Fannie Lou Hamer made history and fought for true equality. She helped to change America for the better. And if she were alive today, she\u2019d be \u201csick and tired of being sick and tired\u201d of Planned Parenthood\u2019s continued targeting of vulnerable black communities. She considered abortion to be genocide<\/a> in the black community. She even laid out the case, back in 1971, for how birth control<\/a> could\u2019ve made her<\/em> history: \u201cNow I was born fifty-three years ago to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Townsend. And I am the twentieth child. And so help me God, I respect my mother so much that they didn\u2019t have them birth control pills because if they had them I probably wouldn\u2019t be standing here today. So as I made that narrow escape to be here, I fight for the other kids too to give them a chance. Because if you give them a chance they might come up being Fannie Lou Hamers and something else.\u201d<\/p>\n
