(April 27, 2017) \u2013 As Congress works to stop federal taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood, a new analysis of the abortion chain\u2019s last 10 years of annual reports shows that it is losing clients, closing facilities, and has dramatically reduced health services, but it continues to increase abortions and has more than doubled its taxpayer funding since 2004.<\/p>\n<p>National pro-life organization Live Action summarized its analysis in a new two-minute video: <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/yJeLTE7aG78\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/yJeLTE7aG78<\/a><\/p>\n<p>From Planned Parenthood\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2005-2006-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">2005-06 annual report<\/a> (2004 statistics) to its most recent one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/files\/2114\/5089\/0863\/2014-2015_PPFA_Annual_Report_.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">in 2014-15<\/a>, the numbers show that breast exams are down 60 percent, Pap tests are down 77 percent, and total cancer screenings are down 68 percent. Yet, over that same period, forced taxpayer funding has more than doubled to $553 million a year and abortions are up 27 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Client numbers have also declined from three million in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yumpu.com\/en\/document\/view\/25376704\/services-planned-parenthood\/2\" target=\"_blank\">2011<\/a> to 2.5 million in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/about-us\/who-we-are\/planned-parenthood-at-a-glance\" target=\"_blank\">2017<\/a>, according to Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards\u2019 own statements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fact that Planned Parenthood\u2019s client numbers are decreasing and its breast exams and Pap tests are down 60 and 77 percent while abortions are up 27 percent is more evidence that Planned Parenthood\u2019s focus is abortion, not women\u2019s health care. Planned Parenthood is offering less health care to less women, yet its taxpayer funding has doubled over the last 10 years,\u201d said Lila Rose, president and founder of Live Action.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCongress and President Trump can\u2019t let the current 2017 budget reconciliation bill expire without ending the forced taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood.
