Wade was legalized 20 million humans have been killed inside the womb of Black women. And then, on Halloween, Planned Parenthood tweets out that Black women are safest if they abort their child rather than bring it to term,&#8221; Parker said during a hearing on the Heartbeat Bill.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_174298\" style=\"width: 601px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-174298\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-174298\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/PP-Black-abortion-tweet-Oct-31.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"591\" height=\"99\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/PP-Black-abortion-tweet-Oct-31.jpg 591w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/PP-Black-abortion-tweet-Oct-31-300x50.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/PP-Black-abortion-tweet-Oct-31-500x84.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 591px) 100vw, 591px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-174298\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Planned Parenthood tweet tells Black women abortion is safer than birth<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Parker also exposed the eugenic beliefs of Planned Parenthood <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/margaret-sanger-prominent-planned-parenthood-building-bust-smithsonian\/\">founder<\/a> Margaret Sanger,\u00a0a known <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-founder-margaret-sanger-spoke-ku-klux-klan-supported-eugenics-organization-still-honor\/\">eugenicist<\/a> who once gave a speech before the <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-founder-margaret-sanger-spoke-ku-klux-klan-supported-eugenics-organization-still-honor\/\">Ku Klux Klan<\/a>. She also compared the <em>Dred Scott<\/em> decision, in which the U.S. Supreme Court declared that Black slaves in America were not citizens, to that of Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion in the entire country (essentially declaring that preborn humans are not persons and have no standing as such under the law).<\/p>\n<p>Watch the interaction below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/w5zN1Af7JXQ\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Shockingly, Michael Harriot, who is also Black, chose to criticize Parker for her comments rather than research her claims about Planned Parenthood&#8217;s eugenicist beginnings. Instead, Harriot discounted Parker and other Black pro-life women, claiming that they are &#8220;rare&#8221;:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Star Parker, founder of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education and a community activist, was asked to testify before the House Judiciary Committee\u2019s Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice.<\/p>\n<p>Hold up, I think I made a mistake in that previous paragraph. What I meant to type was: Star Parker was asked to testify before the House subcommittee because she is one of the rare black female Republican anti-abortion-rights activists. (No, I\u00a0<em>will not\u00a0<\/em>use the GOP marketing phrase<em>\u00a0<\/em>\u201cpro-life.\u201d Who\u2019s not\u00a0<em>for people living?<\/em>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Harriot then echoed Rep. Cohen&#8217;s derogatory remarks, saying, &#8220;People were shocked to hear him go after a black woman publicly like this, but here is the thing: She is kinda ignorant, though.&#8221;\u00a0(Side note: Imagine for one moment what would happen if Parker were pro-choice and&#8230; oh, I don&#8217;t know&#8230; a <em>white Republican male<\/em> had called her &#8220;ignorant.&#8221;\u00a0Media and social media &#8212; and likely Harriot himself &#8212; would explode with outrage.)<\/p>\n<p>But Harriot&#8217;s claim about the rarity of pro-life Black females is simply wrong. The following Black pro-life women (in both the past and the present) are worth noting (and they weren&#8217;t all Republicans, Mr. Harriot):<\/p>\n<p><strong>1)\u00a0Dr. Mildred Jefferson<\/strong> was\u00a0the first Black woman to graduate from Harvard Medical School and was co-founder of the National Right to Life Committee. She\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theradiancefoundation.org\/trailblazer\/\">once<\/a> stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I became a physician in order to help save lives. I am at once a physician, a citizen, and a woman, and I am not willing to stand aside and allow the concept of expendable human lives to turn this great land of ours into just another exclusive reservation where only the perfect, the privileged, and the planned have the right to live.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nxefrRccsbI\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>2)\u00a0Fannie Lou Hamer <\/strong>was a\u00a0civil rights activist who helped found the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party. In 1964 she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/retropolis\/wp\/2017\/10\/06\/civil-rights-crusader-fannie-lou-hamer-defied-men-and-presidents-who-tried-to-silence-her\/?utm_term=.13266d12c5e7\">ran for Congress<\/a>. Hamer was also a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theradiancefoundation.org\/voting-rights-activist-fannie-lou-hamer-called-abortion-genocide\/\">victim<\/a> of eugenic sterilization, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maafa21.com\">program<\/a> which Planned Parenthood&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthoods-connections-to-eugenics\/\">founder<\/a>\u00a0(as well as those on her board) advocated.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_174314\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-174314\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-174314\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Fannie-Lou-Hamer-64-300x203.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Fannie-Lou-Hamer-64-300x203.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Fannie-Lou-Hamer-64.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-174314\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Fannie Lou Hamer<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Ethyl Payne <a href=\"https:\/\/news.google.com\/newspapers?id=FKMkAAAAIBAJ&amp;sjid=Zf4FAAAAIBAJ&amp;pg=1276,784750&amp;dq=fannie+lou+hamer+sterilization&amp;hl=en\">quoted<\/a>\u00a0Hamer as calling abortion &#8220;black genocide,&#8221; writing in The Afro-American, &#8220;She was a delegate to the White House Conference on Food and Nutrition&#8230; there she spoke out strongly of abortion as a means\u00a0 of genocide of blacks&#8230;.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Journalist Samuel Yette also noted Mrs. Hamer&#8217;s views in<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/news.google.com\/newspapers?id=YDQmAAAAIBAJ&amp;sjid=Nv4FAAAAIBAJ&amp;pg=1050,1435927&amp;dq=birth+control+fannie+lou+hamer&amp;hl=en\">The Afro American \u2013 Apr 2, 1977<\/a>, quoting her as saying, &#8220;It is still a society in which an injured man must show his ability to pay before getting hospital services,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>but his daughter or wife can be aborted or fed birth control pills, at public expense\u2026.&#8221; Yette then recounted how Hamer blasted conference organizers: &#8220;She responded with shock and outrage at the deception. \u201cI didn\u2019t come to talk about birth control,\u201d she protested. &#8220;I came here to get some food to feed poor, hungry people. Where are they carrying on that kind of talk?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A 1969 article published by the Free-Lance Star quotes Hamer as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news.google.com\/newspapers?nid=1298&amp;dat=19691220&amp;id=QjVWAAAAIBAJ&amp;sjid=_OcDAAAAIBAJ&amp;pg=4997,1171778&amp;hl=en\">denouncing<\/a>\u00a0voluntary abortion as \u201clegalized murder,\u201d saying she &#8220;made it clear that she &#8220;regards it part of a comprehensive white man&#8217;s plot to exterminate the black population of the United States.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Author\u00a0<span class=\"addmd\">Kay Mills quoted Hamer in her <a href=\"https:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=0RGJ9fKIoFwC&amp;pg=PA274&amp;lpg=PA274&amp;dq=Once+Black+women+were+bought+as+slaves+because+they+were+good+breeders.%C2%A0Now+they+talk+about+birth+control+and+abortion+for+blacks&amp;source=bl&amp;ots=E5L4Ih0I8k&amp;sig=IEGNH78CBj11BcKsYGketZLNifI&amp;hl=en&amp;sa=X&amp;ved=0ahUKEwjqr6KjyabXAhWG4SYKHVPgDycQ6AEINTAC#v=onepage&amp;q=Once%20Black%20women%20were%20bought%20as%20slaves%20because%20they%20were%20good%20breeders.%C2%A0Now%20they%20talk%20about%20birth%20control%20and%20abortion%20for%20blacks&amp;f=false\">book<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>as being vehemently against abortion. \u201cOnce Black women were bought as slaves because they were good breeders,&#8221; Hamer said. &#8220;Now they talk about birth control and abortion for blacks. If they\u2019d been talking that way when my mother was bearing children, I wouldn\u2019t be here now.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_89949\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-89949\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-89949 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/elaineriddick-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/elaineriddick-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/elaineriddick.jpg 671w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-89949\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Elaine Riddick<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>3)\u00a0Elaine\u00a0Riddick\u00a0<\/strong>is a staunch pro-life advocate and vocal critic of Planned Parenthood. She was a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Nshj9rCTPdE\">victim<\/a> of eugenic sterilization who led a <a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Health\/WomensHealth\/north-carolina-compensate-victims-eugenics-program-sterilized\/story?id=15328707\">successful crusade<\/a> in <a href=\"http:\/\/ncgovdocs.org\/guides\/eugenics.htm\">North Carolina<\/a> to gain reparations for the men and women (mostly Black) who were forcefully sterilized.<\/p>\n<p>That NC eugenics program was supported by Margaret Sanger&#8217;s financier, Clarence Gamble, a director of Sanger\u2019s American Birth Control League (which later changed its name to <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/cecile-richards-planned-parenthood-not-serious-disavowing-racist-history\/\">Planned Parenthood)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In 1947, Gamble called for the expansion of North Carolina\u2019s state sterilization program, saying that for every feeble minded person sterilized, 40 more were polluting and degrading the bloodlines of future generation with their defective genes.<\/p>\n<p>Research from North Carolina\u2019s Winston-Salem Journal reveals a long history of abuses in that state&#8217;s sterilization program \u2014 abuses that Gamble consistently glossed over. According to the Journal,\u00a0\u201cGamble wanted sterilizations to increase rather than decrease, and increase they did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Riddick\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/saynsumthn.wordpress.com\/2012\/12\/10\/eugenics-victim-passes-away\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">testified<\/a>\u00a0before the North Carolina State Legislature about her experience, tearfully saying, \u201cThey cut me open like I was a hog.\u201d She told lawmakers that her only crime was being poor, Black, and from a bad home environment.\u00a0Riddick&#8217;s horrific story was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cFJNX5bHYVI\">recounted<\/a> in the documentary <a href=\"http:\/\/maafa21.com\">Maafa21<\/a>, which chronicles the history of eugenics and the founding of Planned Parenthood:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cFJNX5bHYVI\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>4) Dr.\u00a0Alveda King<\/strong> is the<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>niece of civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr., and\u00a0Director of Civil Rights for the Unborn for\u00a0Priests for Life<i>:<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QegLbPexYBQ\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>5)\u00a0LaVern Tolbert<\/strong> is a\u00a0former Board member of Planned Parenthood who now opposes their agenda:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cfjwJBfPu6s\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>7)\u00a0Day Gardner<\/strong> is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalblackprolifeunion.com\/\">president<\/a> of the\u00a0National Black Pro-Life Union:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ADjWN3km-n4\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>8)<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Judge Cheryl Allen<\/strong> is a\u00a0Superior Court judge for the state of Pennsylvania. It seems the murder of blacks is only a consideration for black preachers or other leaders when they are killed by white or Hispanic cops&#8230;. This is the phoniest and most preposterous argument of all.
