She\u2019d had two tests during her pregnancy that indicated her baby had trisomy 18.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we are to see you here in the clinic, it would be $17,000\u201d for the entire procedure, a Southwestern Women\u2019s Options employee told Felicia. The employee was Susana Estorga, according to Abortion-Free New Mexico.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-video\" data-location=\"3\" data-yturl=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Y6AG4wFRsAU&amp;feature=youtu.be\">\n<div class=\"article-video-embed\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Y6AG4wFRsAU\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Felicia said throughout her pregnancy that medical professionals brought up abortion to her \u201cthree different times\u201d and focused on how difficult life would be if she chose not to kill her baby.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt wasn\u2019t talking positive about keeping the baby and how some parents make a good life for the baby,\u201d she told Abortion-Free New Mexico\u2019s Tara Shaver. \u201cI didn\u2019t hear anything like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot once when I talked to the genetic counselor did I hear\u201d about parents who didn\u2019t abort their babies with trisomy 18, said Felicia.<\/p>\n<p>Inside Southwestern Women\u2019s Options, Felicia wasn\u2019t allowed to bring her sister back into her consultation appointment with her.<\/p>\n<p>Estorga explained to Felicia that the late-term abortion would begin with an injection to cause her baby to have a heart attack.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first day after you checked in, filled out paperwork, then met with the doctor, part of the procedure that happens that day is a fetal injection which lowers the heart rate and eventually stops it,\u201d the abortion worker said. \u201cIt takes about four to six hours to stop\u201d the baby\u2019s heart.<\/p>\n<p>The abortion facility would try to inject the baby with poison vaginally, but if that wasn\u2019t possible, \u201cthen we\u2019d have to go abdominally,\u201d the abortion staffer told Felicia.<\/p>\n<p>Southwestern Women\u2019s Options referred Felicia to Sherri Gonzalez, whose business card identified her as an \u201cEnrollment Counselor\u201d for \u201cMedicaid &amp; Marketplace Insurance.\u201d It appears Gonzalez works for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centrosavila.org\/\">Centro Savila<\/a>, which helps people enroll in the New Mexico healthcare exchange.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCentro S\u00e1vila is a treatment program devoted to the recovery and healing of individuals, families, and communities suffering from emotional and psychological distress,\u201d its website says. \u201cOur comprehensive model of care works to decrease health disparities in Bernalillo County by providing services that include \u201cFree Health Insurance Enrollment Assistance for Medicaid and the NM Health Insurance Exchange.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Estorga told Felicia not to call the Midtown office number on Gonzalez\u2019s card because \u201cthey\u2019re just rude.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Instead, she advised Felicia to \u201ccall the other numbers\u201d and then contact Gonzalez directly to enroll in \u201cemergency pregnancy Medicaid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSometimes they say, like, \u2018oh, we don\u2019t do that here,\u2019 but they totally do. It\u2019s just they might be a little anti\u201d and \u201cdeflect patients.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gonzalez \u201cgoes above and beyond to get you covered,\u201d the abortion worker promised Felicia. \u201cCall her and get an appointment and she can probably get you presumptive eligibility.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Two days after what would have been Felicia\u2019s scheduled abortion appointment \u2013 with which the pro-life investigator never planned to follow through \u2013 she went into labor and delivered a baby boy.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-video\" data-location=\"17\" data-yturl=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=RfsFVdIOdjo&amp;feature=youtu.be\">\n<div class=\"article-video-embed\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RfsFVdIOdjo\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s perfectly healthy\u201d and doesn\u2019t have trisomy 18, Felicia said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis project has uncovered the shocking reality that the medical community is knowingly relying on faulty and misleading genetic testing that leads women to local abortion facilities to kill their babies,\u201d said Shaver. \u201cAccording to known published studies, 60 percent of prenatal tests can come back with false positives on babies without any genetic defects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A 23-year-old named Keisha Marie Atkins died after a late-term abortion was initiated at Southwestern Women&#8217;s Options in February 2017.
