The Ohio Department of Health has issued a civil fine of $40,000 to Capital Care Network in Toledo, Ohio, in light of health and safety standards violations.<\/p>\n

In a press release<\/a>, Ohio Right to Life notes:<\/p>\n

State health inspectors discovered that after one woman had an abortion, the doctor believed that he might have perforated the woman\u2019s bowel. Capital Care Network did not follow their own medical emergencies procedure, in which they should have called 911. Instead,\u00a0they sent the patient out the back door<\/a>\u00a0and into an employee\u2019s personal car. They dropped her off at the hospital, and then came right back, not ensuring that the woman was treated promptly.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
