As reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/local\/social-issues\/maryland-provider-of-late-term-abortions-under-contract-to-be-purchased-by-antiabortion-group\/2017\/08\/25\/78f91b94-89ac-11e7-a50f-e0d4e6ec070a_story.html?utm_term=.efaebbf24a82\">The Washington Post<\/a>, the clinic has been purchased by Maryland Coalition for Life, a pro-life group that had been working for years to close down the facility. The sale is scheduled to be finalized this fall; however, it appears Germantown Reproductive Health Services has closed ahead of schedule, according to the website <a href=\"http:\/\/abortionpages.com\/\">Abortion Pages<\/a> and a statement from NARAL.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Each longtime owner of a medical facility seeking to willingly close the business has to choose when and how to do so in the best interests of one\u2019s family as well as the community that has been served. Although the announcement of the closing of the Prince George\u2019s and Germantown Reproductive Health Services may seem sudden, it has been known in the Maryland abortion care community that the owner had been considering ceasing operation,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n<p>The Germantown facility is one of three in the United States that are notorious for committing late-term abortions on a regular basis. The other two are located in Colorado and New Mexico. Carhart <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/leroy-carhart-needs-investigated\/\">has a history<\/a> of injuring and killing women during abortions, as well as committing health violations and gross negligence. For years, he has committed abortions after 26 weeks gestation when babies are clearly viable (though <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/fact-check-planned-parenthood-actually-does-perform-abortions-after-viability\/\">viability is medically possible much earlier<\/a>) and when the health of the mother can be saved more quickly through a C-section.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ysl1tRnk-ig\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Leroy Carhart was featured in Live Action&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/what-we-do\/investigations\/inhuman-late-term-abortion\/\">Inhuman investigation,<\/a> where he was heard comparing preborn human beings to &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/6-shocking-things-abortionists-said-about-preborn-babies-in-live-actions-inhuman-investigations\/\">meat in a slower cooker<\/a>.&#8221; He also admitted that he commits late-term abortions on healthy women and babies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Q04-l2cm1oQ\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Carhart explained his abortions in a conversation with a woman who went undercover into his facility:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Woman: &#8212; for some reason, I\u2019m not able to deliver, you\u2019ll be able to get it out&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Carhart: We\u2019d take it out in pieces.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_59506\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><\/div>\n<p>Woman: &#8212; in pieces. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Woman: What do you use to break it up? Still, the closing of the Germantown facility is being celebrated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a miracle.
