They&#8217;re just killing everybody that has it. Big difference. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Downsyndrome?src=hash\">#Downsyndrome<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/abortion?src=hash\">#abortion<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gAONIzqRXW\">https:\/\/t.co\/gAONIzqRXW<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u2014 Patricia Heaton (@PatriciaHeaton) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PatriciaHeaton\/status\/897290974262472704\">August 15, 2017<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>According to the report,\u00a0nearly 100 percent of women in Iceland who have children diagnosed in utero with Down syndrome are choosing abortion. CBS News <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/down-syndrome-iceland\/\">states<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Since prenatal screening tests were introduced in Iceland in the early 2000s, the vast majority of women \u2014 close to 100 percent \u2014 who received a positive test for Down syndrome terminated their pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>While the tests are optional, the government states that all expectant mothers must be informed about availability of screening tests, which reveal the likelihood of a child being born with Down syndrome. Around 80 to 85 percent of pregnant women choose to take the prenatal screening test, according to Landspitali University Hospital in Reykjavik.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Dr. Peter McParland, an obstetrician from the National Maternity Hospital, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/legal-abortion-leading-downs-syndrome-free-world\/\">told the Citizens Assembly<\/a> the heartbreaking reality of what legal abortion has wrought in countries where it is permitted for children diagnosed with disabilities.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIn Britain, 90% of babies with Down\u2019s Syndrome are aborted before birth. In Iceland, every single baby, 100% of all those diagnosed with Down\u2019s Syndrome, are aborted. There hasn\u2019t been a baby with Down\u2019s Syndrome born in Iceland in the past five years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Denmark is following suit, and is expected to be \u201cDown\u2019s Syndrome-free\u201d by 2030 and these cold and chilling statistics show us exactly where legal abortion is leading the rest of Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Legal abortion is leading us to a \u201cDown\u2019s Syndrome-free\u201d world. I can barely type the words. It is utterly heart-breaking. Little wonder that, in Britain, Lord Shinkwin \u2013 a member of the House of Lords who has a congenital disability \u2013 last week gave a powerful speech pointing out, \u201cthe writing is on the wall for people like me.
