Even almost a decade later, Ireland\u2019s responses to common pro-choice arguments are some of the most clear and concise we\u2019ve ever heard.<\/p>\n<p>But Ireland wasn\u2019t always pro-life. She became a Christian as a teenager\u2013around the time her modeling career took off\u2013but still considered herself pro-choice for many years.<\/p>\n<p>She told Huckabee,\u00a0<em>\u201cI always have and I will continue to fight for women\u2019s rights,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0going on to describe her former pro-choice perspective:\u00a0<em>\u201ceven though maybe I wouldn\u2019t have [an abortion] myself, who am I to impose my \u00a0beliefs on someone else. It\u2019s a woman\u2019s body, it\u2019s her choice after all.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t until years later that she really decided to look into the science surrounding the issue of abortion.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cWhat I learned is at the moment of conception, a new life comes into being, the DNA, the genetic blueprint is there, the sex is determined, the blood type is determined, the unique set of fingerprints is there.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oMjeddIJCqU\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s just a clump of cells.\u201d This is a common argument of the pro-choice side\u2013some might even call it a survival tactic. However, science continues to prove this wrong\u2026 on top of super basic logic and understanding of human development, as Ireland so clearly displays.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cWell, we are clumps of cells and that unborn human being does not look like a baby, the same way a baby does not look like a teenager, does not look like a senior.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This idea seems super simple, but is, unfortunately, overlooked all too often.\u00a0She finishes this thought by saying,\u00a0<em>\u201cBut that unborn human being looks exactly the way human beings are supposed to look at that stage of development and this human life continues to grow and change.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Another argument that Ireland gracefully addresses is that which says if a woman has an abortion at a certain stage, then it\u2019s okay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ireland says,\u00a0<em>\u201cAccording to the Law of Biogenesis, all life comes from pre-existing life and each species reproduces after its own kind. Therefore, human beings can only reproduce other human beings, so it doesn\u2019t start out as one species and suddenly become a human being.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>She goes on\u2013<em>\u201csome people say, \u201cWell it\u2019s a woman\u2019s body, it should be her choice,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>citing another common argument.\u00a0She further trounces pro-choice reasoning, saying,\u00a0<em>\u201cThere\u2019s a 50% change the baby she\u2019s carrying is a male child and he would have a penis. Women don\u2019t have penises so it\u2019s residing in her body. It is not a part of her body.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>While she spends most of her time addressing flaws of the pro-choice side, she also challenges those of us in the pro-life movement to love and support women who have felt pressured into abortion\u2013\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cI also believe that when an abortion takes place, there are at least two victims. We cannot be condemning women. Women have been so hurt by this and they are not given all the facts.
