(Save the Storks<\/a>) This true story was\u00a0submitted to us<\/a>\u00a0by Mallory.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

2013.\u00a0The year my life changed forever. I was 18 years old and had a \u201cnormal life.\u201d I had just graduated high school and was living with my family. I had two jobs and\u00a0a great boyfriend.<\/p>\n

One morning, I woke up to get ready for work and felt super nauseous. I didn\u2019t think much of it so I went to work as usual. Throughout the day I was having cravings and headaches. On my way home from work I stopped by Walmart and picked up a pregnancy test. When I got home I went upstairs and took the test.<\/p>\n

I waited. Two little lines showed up. I was pregnant. My stomach dropped. I cried.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t know what I was going to do. I threw it away and I acted as if nothing happened. I called my boyfriend and went to his house. We both went into his room and talked about me being pregnant.<\/p>\n

We knew our parents would be furious if they\u00a0found out we were pregnant, so we agreed getting an abortion would be the best way out.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The next day I called Planned Parenthood. The clinic near me didn\u2019t do abortions, so my boyfriend and I planned to drive five hours to get one.<\/p>\n

I still remember the lady telling me it would\u00a0cost $900. I took the money\u00a0out of my savings account and we started planning our trip to Planned Parenthood.
\n<\/strong>
\nA few days later, I was in my room getting ready for work when my mom walked in and shut the door. \u00a0She asked, \u201cAre you pregnant?\u201d Shocked, I blurted out,\u00a0\u201cNo!\u201d<\/em>\u00a0A moment later I asked, \u201cWould you be mad if I was?\u201d And she said, \u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n

I started crying and telling her how sorry I was. She began crying too. When I asked her if she was going to make me \u201cget rid of it,\u201d she responded, \u201cOf course not!\u201d<\/p>\n

When I told my dad he simply asked if I was okay and patted me on the back. Neither of my parents were angry. Instead, they showed me great support and love\u2013to think I almost had an abortion in fear of my parents\u2019 reaction!<\/p>\n

Instead of using that $900 to have\u00a0an abortion, I used it towards baby clothes\u2013a decision I will never regret. My boyfriend and I got married in March 2014 and had our precious little girl two months later. We had our second baby girl\u00a0the following July.<\/strong><\/p>\n

My kids have\u00a0opened my eyes and brought me back to Jesus Christ. And despite what some believe about young parents, I live a totally normal life. I get to stay home with my kids and my husband goes to work.\u00a0I am so blessed to have the family that I do.<\/strong><\/p>\n
