Six of those locations committed medication abortions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt isn\u2019t very often we see seven&#8230;close in one day. This may have set some kind of record. It is great news for women and their babies who will no longer be preyed upon for profit by Planned Parenthood in these communities,\u201d said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. \u201cMany Planned Parenthood facilities survive only on on government funding. There are so many other reputable providers of legitimate healthcare for women out there. Even if every Planned Parenthood was shut down, no one would have to due without proper medical care. We should not be funding Planned Parenthood with our tax dollars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/liveaction.org\/petition\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-160409 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/DefundAd-400b-1.jpg\" alt=\"Defund Planned Parenthood\" width=\"400\" height=\"170\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The locations set to close are Keokuk Health Center Planned Parenthood in Keokuk, Iowa; Burlington Health Center in Burlington, Iowa; Atlantic City Planned Parenthood in Atlantic City, New Jersey; Sioux City Center Planned Parenthood in Sioux City, Iowa; Central Richmond Health Center, Richmond, California; Vacaville Health Center Planned Parenthood, Vacaville, California; and Pittsburg Health Center, Pittsburg, California. All of the clinics cited financial concerns for their closing except for Atlantic City, which blamed security concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Medical abortions are done in the first trimester and starve the preborn child to death by cutting off blood and nutrients. Former abortionist, Dr. Anthony Levatino, explains the procedure in this video:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lRDnVSMr5j0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood has been closing locations at a fast pace throughout 2016 and 2017. It isn&#8217;t due to a lack of funds, but rather, a lack of clients, as the number of actual health services they provide <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/despite-doubling-taxpayer-funds-decade-planned-parenthood-health-services-plummeted\/\">continues to decline<\/a> while the number of abortions they provide increases.<\/p>\n<p>Between\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/2004-2005-Planned-Parenthood-Annual-Report.pdf\">2004\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/files\/2114\/5089\/0863\/2014-2015_PPFA_Annual_Report_.pdf\">2014<\/a>,\u00a0breast exams at Planned Parenthood decreased 60.7 percent and Pap tests declined\u00a077 percent. Meanwhile, abortions have jumped 27 percent since 2004.
