(Newsbusters) — When California filed charges against pro-lifers investigating Planned Parenthood, the liberal media readily covered the news. But when a judge later dropped<\/a> nearly all of the charges, the three broadcast networks didn\u2019t say a word.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s called a blatant media double-standard.<\/p>\n

Last week, the San Francisco Superior Court dismissed<\/a> 14 of the 15 criminal charges filed against Center for Medical Progress (CMP) executives by the state of California. The charges came after CMP, a self-described<\/a> \u201cgroup of citizen journalists,\u201d began releasing undercover videos<\/a> in 2015 to expose Planned Parenthood\u2019s harvesting of aborted baby parts.<\/p>\n

Back in March, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra first announced<\/a> the 15 charges<\/a> against David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt based on invasion of privacy and covert recording. The networks\u00a0reported on\u00a0that<\/em><\/a> \u2013 though not without a twist.<\/p>\n

At the time, ABC and CBS anchors publicized<\/a> that the CMP videos \u201cclaim to show [Daleiden and Merritt\u2019s] attempt to buy fetal tissue\u201d and that they \u201cvideotaped themselves trying to buy human material.\u201d But that\u2019s a reversal of CMP\u2019s stance. From the beginning, CMP has\u00a0claimed<\/a> it documented Planned Parenthood\u2019s \u201csale of baby body parts.\u201d<\/p>\n
